Just a few reasons why I LOVE my job at the environmental center:
*taking the college shuttle and having conversations with the drivers who happen to have been my friends before they were drivers
*the way it always smells like wood smoke, apple cider, and candles
*two words: Environmental Center. duh.
*listening to the random CDs while I do mindless mailings
*getting to pick pictures to go on the website (soooo cute!)
*getting to play with my bosses' dogs and sometimes the snakes
*getting paid for things like making apple cider and walking the trails in the rain to count trees (I really do love rain)
*the conversations my bosses have, such as:
Aubrey: You stink buddy! You stink! (talking to a rat snake)
Allison (talking to her husband on the phone): Look Kyle, I don't care which fundraising candle we buy. Vanilla. Just get vanilla. No, I don't want snickerdoodle scented, I feel sick, cookie scented candles do not sound appealing.
Lina: She'll toss her cookies.
Steph (from the other room): I want a cookie!
Steph: Look at my new 17 thousand dollar hat! (The cap from the wind turbine which had fallen off). We can say, "See, we DO get wind in Indiana!
