I just stumbled upon some wierd news. I was going to find more about my biological grandfather when I found my birth certificate of moms. It indicated that the father was my adoptive grandfather. The envelope was addressed here, probably for some sort of record which we had needed for a copy, but the date was never put on it which is wierd because it was an official document. Also, it was a peel-n-seal envelope, and the adhesive strip hadn't been exposed.
And now...
i went to check out the information again, thinking i may have pulled the adoption record, it said "Certificate of live birth" signed exactly two days after her birth and it is a certified copy. it has her name changed slightly as it was when she got adopted. then i found the original, signed on the same day, obvious since it is the original. but this one has the name of my biological grandfather, and is certified as a true copy of the birth record. it also has her original name.
if anyone knows anything about adoption records and if they change your birth certificate or not please let me know. thank you.
