School Killings (oxymoronic)
Why is everyone always so surprised when someone dressed like Keanu in "Matrix", goes into a school with a gun and start s to randomly murder people? The next day the paper publishes all the signs nobody noticed for years and years. A loner, introverted, unsupervised, roll player, stays in his room-cellar-whatever for hours, allowed to be babysat by tv and games, parents both work, nobody saw any signs.............BECAUSE no one, and I mean his parents, was paying any attention. I worked in an ICU pediatric unit for years and never ONCE was a baby identified as a potential mass murderer.
Control guns? I say control access to computers for children living at home. Any child with no social life, and teachers can spot them, should be referred for help and home investigated. If the parent spots weird behaviour, don't pass it off as a phase. Fly wing pulling is not a "stage." And, parents DO see weird behaviour,unless they're gone all the time. Get it?
If you don't know what your child is "into", you're not paying enough attention. Someone, somewhere, knew this person had issues. They didn't do anything either. I have no compassion for these creeps that kill people , but they CAME from somewhere. Probably some nice suburban couple who thought a new car was more important than going on a trip with little Johnny. Or a nice young couple who thought babies were cute, but not for 18 YEARS, work is easier, flip the child a few extra horrifying videos to entertain himself with. Oh, and let him do anything he wants, too. Don't encourage him to do outside activities, you'd have to show up once in a while. Tolerate disgusting language and habits. What we need is child-control. I'm not blaming the parents totally, someone else probably saw the kid festering and rotting too and did nothing . Children are HARD work, and they need LOTS of attention, and they're NOT FUN sometimes. Parenting skills should be mandatory before people get control of ruining another child.
The killer should rot in hell. The accessories to the crime should be made well aware of who they are. I know it's a radical idea, but society creates most of thsse monsters, so be careful what you wish for. That baby you want so much may be the third job, and the easiest one for you to ignore.
