coachella, motherfuckers.
so far, been pretty excellent.
first day:
rogue wave (started out shaky, built up and were amazing by the end)
battles (fucking amazing, just wished they could've had a longer set)
the breeders (pretty damn good)
vampire weekend (excellent. everyone will be talking about them next week in la.)
dan le sac vs. scroobius pip (very intellectually stimulating, covered cream by prince, which was pretty awesome)
the raconteurs (so incredibly sexy. there was even a gratuitous crotch shot at one point)
datarock (breakout stars of the day. got the whole crowd doing aerobics moves and ended their set with a singalong to "i've had the time of my life" from dirty dancing. got me very sweaty)
jack johnson (predictable, pretty ok, played a lot of his older stuff which is good since that's the stuff i like)
i'll update for yesterday later.
ps - yes, ryan, i skipped the verve for datarock. i'm quite convinced it was entirely worth it.
