Maybe I should just drink my Kool-Aid
Well, my experiment in hand-paining my own yarn over the weekend was a dismal failure. :) Rather than the beautiful jeweled rainbow effect I was trying to create (with purples, blues, deep reds and greens) the resulting mass is a kind of odd brown and looks like it has badly faded spots. *sigh* I think I made the dyes too thin, and when I tried to massage the colours in, all I did was mix them up. Badly. I guess I will just get some grape and dye it all dark purple. :p
