It's been such a long time... and now I have a Boston song stuck in my head...
I'm mostly on facebook now... I should look for you guys there... Anyway, I was goofing off and thought I'd make an LJ update.
The little man is now 7 months old. He is HUGE! Wearing 18 month clothing. He weighed 20lbs, 2oz last Thursday. He's approximately 28 inches long now (this is a home measurement with him wiggling around). He is ALL boy. He loves for us to wrestle around with him, hang him upside down, etc. He is eating like every fruit and veggie baby food there is plus whole wheat cereal, (baby version) mac n cheese and he's drinking apple juice. He is saying his first word..."hey". We thought it was just an unintentional sound at first but the other day Kenny and I were at Applebees with my parents (poor Chris was working) and the waitress (who had been talking to Kenny every time she walked by) was at a table across from us. All of a sudden, Kenny says "Hey" as he's looking at her. When she didn't acknowledge him, he yelled "HEY!" It was pretty funny. Now we see he's looking at us when he says it so he knows it's a way to get attention. Of course, both sides of his family are southern so his second word might be "ya'll"
I'm still working at the hospital and I also work 2-3 days a month at a nursing home. I'm trying to make some extra bucks since we're still paying off medical bills... plus... We're buying a house! We're supposed to close on the 19th but we probably won't be officially moved in until the first or second week of December (we're going to my inlaws in Alabama for Thanksgiving the 24th- 29th). It's a 3 bedroom/ 2 bath house. It's on about a half acre of property so not a huge yard but it's decent sized, fenced back yard, screen room on the back. It's just the cutest house and from the moment we first looked at it, it felt like "ours."
