back again...

I'm alive and doing quite well. I'm transferring with the company I work for in a week and a half. I'll be 10 minutes from home (driving about 35 minutes now), I'll be making more money per hour, and I'll be getting differential pay on the weekends. I'm actually going to be working every weekend for a while. I told them I'd be willing to do this for a couple of months but that's it. Then I'll go to 3 graveyard shifts a week and every other weekend evenings. For now though, I will be working Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7-3 at the assisted living facility. Then every other weekend, I'll be working 3-11 on Saturday and Sunday at the dementia unit next door. So every other weekend entails 2 doubles but I can handle it for a while (plus the differential, saving gas money, more hourly pay... I'll be a very happy girl when I get my checks!). I already know one of my bosses. She worked at our facility for 2 weeks to cover when my boss went out of state for some kind of training. Her name is Sue and she is such a sweet person. The boss in the other building seems nice too. I am starting this Friday technically... doing orientation 7-3 at the assisted living. It's going to be rough learning all new residents again. We only have 36 at my current place... there are 48 at the assisted living and I'm going to and 29 at the dementia unit. Oh well, I know it'll work out.

I'm supposed to go to Orlando next Thursday for my orientation for the pediatric home-health place. I'm debating on that one. The pay is decent and it would just be one day a week... but I found out they don't pay mileage. I just don't know about it now. I have a week to decide though.

Not much else going on. I met what seemed to be a very nice guy but he seems to be some loony stalker sort of dude. He knew I lived in Lake County and I worked for an assisted living... he actually got out the yellow pages and called a bunch of the assisted living facilities to find out if I worked there. Creepy indeed. I don't know why I attract these goobers. Luckily, he did not find the one I work at. He asked me and I told him he needed to stop calling me and seek help.

I hope you all are doing well. I'm going to be very busy for the next couple of weeks with working out my notice and trying to start at the new place. But everything is great on my end of the world :)
