I brought my Dwight bobblehead (from 'The Office') to work a couple of weeks ago. At least one woman thought it was so hilarious she was in near tears. I set Dwight up so he was staring down the door of the Men's bathroom with an evil look on his face.
Apparently Dwight has garnered some attention.
Friday was my first day WFH (working from home). I came in this morning to work to find Dwight... well... in a bit of bondage. It brought back immediate memories to my time at UUNET. My stuffed Dalmation (from 101 Dalmatians) suddenly ended up with duct tape over his eyes and little mini handcuffs while I wasn't looking too.
Something about the crap I bring to work, it ends up in bondage.
It made me happy, though. I still don't know who did it. I sent the cell phone image to my manager with one word, "You?!" and he replied, "No, but that's classic!" Then he sent an email to our huge distribution of managers with a link to our team's Sharepoint site. This picture of Dwight in bondage is now our main Sharepoint logo at our site!
I confronted him again later and he said, "Listen, I'm like Al Qaeda. I would have totally owned up to that if I did it. In fact, I regret that it wasn't me!" So it wasn't him, but it was funny, and now people come by my cube and start cracking up.
I can't lie, I love the teasing. I still don't know who the hell did this, but it makes me happy. I am so comfortable in the role of "The Person Being Teased". Particularly the good natured stuff. I guess it comes from being the youngest in my family. But today started off really neat. I'm not going to free Dwight from his bindings for a few more days, at least.
