I am really getting into the driving mode. Its the fourth day now and i am not getting as tired any more. I actually get energized by getting behind the wheel. Today we drove from Montgomery, Alabama to New Orleans, Louisiana. It was hot and humid here, but for the last few hours the rain was pouring like there is no tomorrow - I could barely see the road. The rain has stopped now and the air is fresh and cool.
We drove by the southern shore line of Mississippi and were really struck, by how damaged the whole area is. Random neon signs are barely standing next to the piles of rubbish that was ones the restaurant or a gas station. We stayed on the shore for about half an hour, and having no desire to see ths depressing sights any longer, shifted north to a parallel highway...
In about an hour we'll drive to New Orleans to hang out, get some food and see the city in the night.
