It's only air that you feel in your chest

Home again.. Camp was really good. It was for Fire and Ecoystems and we were at the Coorong. We did mostly veg stuff and made some rabbit exclosures which was good only our supervisor didn't really know what he was on about (32 and still lives at home, no job, just volunteers for the uni... ?!) so we got some of our plants wrongly identified. Oh and the weather... I know have a new appreciation for not having to live amongst sand. my tent (dodgy $40 tiny thing from k-mart) has a big gap in it where sand and rain blew on my face during the night. I would wake up with my tent half fallen over with sand EVERYWHERE in the night due to the gail force freaking winds on the Thursday and Friday night. If I couldn't have slept in Alysha's tent on Friday.. wow I would have killed myself! Saturday we drove from the Coorong to Renmark (thankyou Nadia and Jade for driving!), got a wicked vegie burger at a Deli in Kooranda (sp?). Got to Renmark and the footy had already started so it was on the couch with a beer for the next few horrible hours where I watched Port get absolutely raped in the ass by Geelong. Good thing I don't follow football anymore because I think I would've cried otherwise. My dad went to the Grand Final actually so he probably did cry!

After that we got ready; Jade did my make-up, actually looked good for once and worked on speeches. Everyone wanted to do a really long one but I was like nooooooo make it short and funny! Eventually it sort of worked out that way. All the speeches were really good too and it was funny cuz as soon as Elisha walked to the mic to do hers she started balling and couldn't stop. haha I had to go before her because she was so overwhelmed. I don't know why, I mean she does cry at all the 21sts but I think because we'd just had our last camp together ever for uni everyone was extra emotional. Haha Nadia almost cried too and I kept whispering "don't cry!" because then everyone probably would have. And WOW her parents frigging went all out. There was a marquee (sp?) set up and a full on bar and oh my golly gosh... A CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN.. amazing! It was so unfortunate that us girls who had been on camp were so buggered that we didn't last until late (went to bed about 2), but by then Jess was in no state to even walk so she didn't mind that we went to bed.

Oh and in my speech I said how Jess is always the first person to volunteer for stuff at uni and even when we go out like at Shennanigans this one time when she volunteered to get a lapdance from a "gentleman entertainer". So after my speech who was up? Her church group.. haha they probably thought I was horrible, oh well. It was a really good weekend only I'm very sad that I missed out on Mooses 21st. Especially because I heard it was really fun and was still going at like 6 in the morning! I hope Moose isn't angry that I couldn't go but I promised Jess months ago about her 21st and I might not even see those girls that much when I finish uni so I'm really glad I had a chance to go.

It's weird because I had best friends in high school but I knew I'd see them heaps after because they live so close and we did everything together. All of the girls I go to uni with are sooooooo different and we get along so well but next year who knows where we'll all be? haha apart from me I'll still be at uni, hopefully Jade too. Speaking of honours must e-mail Chris (makes mental note). Ok, I best be off to do more study for stupid exam next week then to Nina and Mooses (Noosa's? or Misa's?? haha names are fun..) for tea yaheeeeeeeeeee!!
