(no subject)
Only a little while until I hand up my thesis. I really am excited to be done but nervous because I've still got a lot of work to do. I am almost finished my methods and plan to have my intro also finished but Monday, then it's full-on results and discussion. I know that I can do it but it's just that being sick and having my presentation on Tuesday has eaten up so much time. Anyway, I set up a little work area in the spare room until I get over my virus. I have both windows open so I can still smell the Spring air and get a nice breeze while I write. I can also hear bird calls and there's a birds nest right outside my window. It reminds me why I spent a whole year behind a computer working like a bitch, eating crap, not seeing friends and becoming a hermit.. it was all for the conservation of these animals. Anyway, thinking about after October 29th is weird because I'll be free to not worry about my thesis. I'll actually be available to do things with my mates too! So I thought I'd write a list of things I want to do when I'm done with honours. I WILL do everything on this list before I go to Tolga Bat Hospital in Jan!
Have a girls night with Emma, Alex, Chriddy and Winnie
See girls I have negelected this year, eg: Katrina, Nina, Fiona, Helen
Call Kirsten and see how she's settling in Melbourne
Look at all of Alex's photos from America
Tidy room.... a whole days work there....
Clean reptile tanks and put in fake grass bottom instead of sand
Play with reptiles (especially Yogi!)
Buy something from Dangerfield
Go to the drive-ins with a big group of people
The beach.. alllllll day
Take Jaffa to the beach! A golden retreiver who has never been to the beach.. it will be fun..
See bands like Anti-Flag, Jackson United, Bob Evans, etc...
Catch up with Claire when she gets back from QLD
Take mum and dad out to tea for letting me mooch off of them this year
Drink a beer in the shower (or bath, either way it is fucking awesome)
One word.. cocktails... oh so many
Have new years eve party with awesome friends
Have sleep over with Jess and wine
See Tristan and not whinge about work
Watch all the TV I/Tristan have downloaded from the net
Organise Sydney trip and make my poster for ESA conference
Do HEAPS of reading about bats (I missed out so much this year!)
Get resume/cover letter all fancy for job applications
Play nintendo!
Get rabies vaccine/organise buses and stuff for Tolga
Become a member of fauna rescue
Work and actually earn money!
Buy shirts/pants for job interviews
Apply for jobs like a mofo!
Get thermostat for Doakes's tank
Enjoy the summer
Maybe dye my hair
Eat lollies
Ok.. I think that's about it. But I am going to print of this list and get everything done in 2 months before I leave. Oh it will be so much fun :)
