I like to read the newspaper every morning

Hhm. Well. So yeah. I've been taking something of a vacation from the internet -- a detoxification, if you will -- since I don't have my own computer at home and have to use my Dad's (which equates to no internetting after 9pm and no instant messaging, especially since he deleted all IM programs from his computer so it's not really possible). What is wonderful is that I feel no particular need to drift about the noxious tides of the interwebs anyway, except for the occasional remembering ever week or so to check my email or catch up on web comics. Communicating primarily by phone technologies has been ... refreshing.

Target is still pretty gay, most of the manager-supervisor-types are douches, and yesterday for the first time I felt all of a sudden 100% bored with the type of work I do there. I know how to do everything, and I can do it all fairly well, but it is the work that a robot could do. Zoning the shelves is like 3-D tetris, except not fun. But I'm too lazy to look for a different job, so ... whatever. Plus my latest paycheck was enough to cover my plane tickets and a super-flashlight I ordered off the internet, so I can't complain.

Also, I need a goddamned haircut. It's raining, and I'm going to go enjoy a lunch before I have to suit up again for further discount-retail battles. Maybe once this tropical storm passes I'll work on my "tan" some more.
