"Where's my slaw?!" "You have your slaw, sir!"

Well, the day that is Wednesday has come -- the day that reminds me that school starts next Wednesday. Crap. I'm really not ready for classes to start again. All the working I did over the summer and now living in an actual, for-real apartment makes going back to school seem like something I was done with a while ago. Lectures, notes, homework, buying stupid art supplies? I thought I was done with that. It's just kind of weird. I'm also sort of freaked out that I'll be having to take the bus to and from campus, since the only lot I can park in this year isn't anywhere near my classes [plus I've never ridden the bus here before]. I'm not sure what I have against riding the bus ... maybe it's just that I don't trust it to get me there on time, so I don't like the idea of relying on it. Whatever. Anyway.

We partied it up with the awesome Kasia last night with delicious and exquisite KFC fried chicken + all the fixings. AND a free CAKE. They gave us our sack of chicken and then it was like "here's your cake." Apparently right now when you order an 8-piece meal, you get a cake. Seinfeld, Zim, and whiskey followed, making for a room-spinning-tastic good time. Except for the eerily loud and articulate cat that was meowing outside the front door for a good half-hour around 1am.

Also, Gainesville Target finally called me back, and as it turns out I have to be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, not just one day on the weekend like I had wanted [since I already know I'm going to have way too much school work to do as it is without giving up the mornings of my two free days to Target]. So that's suck. But I guess I get to make more money than I anticipated that way. Money that I will then have to blow on art supplies.

In another line of business, I have recently realized that I really like System of a Down. I mean, I've always enjoyed their radio hits, from Chop Suey all the way up through B.Y.O.B. and that other new one they just started playing, but until last week I never really considered myself a fan of their work as a whole (as opposed to a fan of just one or two songs like I am with most bands). Just a minor revelation that I needed to share, as if anyone cares.
