"What the hell?!"
All of a sudden the great weight from her back vanished, causing Haruhi to pitch forward from the uneven weight. Gritting her teeth, as she caught herself on her hands and knees on the edge of the frigid stairs. Damn, that hurt....
She eased herself into a sitting position, groaning softly. Her hands were all scratched up and there was a deep gash on her left knee, but she wasn't paying attention to that anymore. Where was the little girl?! 'I didn't drop her...' Haruhi thought and she saw the Doctor's coat lying just behind her, no trace of it ever being worn by another person.
"What just happened?" She looked up at the doctor. "That girl, what happened to her?!" This whole situation was just annoying, Haruhi decided. She was confused, and angry because she was confused, and not to mention cold as hell. This world was starting to suck majorly.
