Who: Aion and Fiore When: After this meeting. Where: Floating Island What: Fiore informing Aion of Joshua's appearance in Vortexx. Warnings: PG [prone to change]
Fiore had returned from her encounter with Joshua and started the pot of soup. Gunter barely left his bed and was worried that he barely ate anymore and was looking increasingly unwell. But that worry wasn't what was the focus of her attentions at the moment. Freshly brewing coffee, she filled her master's favorite cup and carefully brought it to his study. It would be an interesting conversation, but one that was highly necessary.
Gently, she tapped on the door, hoping she wasn't disturbing anything. "Aion-sama, I have brought your coffee."
He called to her without glancing away from the paper in front of him. "Come in." Once she entered, he smiled at her as he placed it down. "Perfect timing as always."
Fiore entered and placed his coffee on his desk, away from any papers so that nothing would be spilled upon. Holding her tray in front of her, she spoke softly. She hated to disturb him, but it was something that he needed to know about.
"Aion-sama, if I may, I have met someone in the city that you should become aware of. I believe that Joshua-sama has arrived here."
"Thanks." He took a sip of his coffee when his eyes widened to the news. Joshua Christopher was here? That was someone who he needed to be more than aware of. A bit of excitement boiled as he thought further of the numerous possibilities that opened up.
"So he managed his way here as well. Perhaps his longing for you guided him here." The sinner teased. Or is this some kind of warning from You? His smirk growing by the minute. Aion placed his coffee down as he stood up. "That's good news. We'll go retrieve him immediately. I'll personally go as well. Fi, get ready to leave in 5 minutes."
Fiore's face looked grim. "Aion-sama, there is something more. It is not the Joshua that we left behind. He talked about things that we didn't see happen - something about a final battle. Since that, he said it had been 9 years. Aion-sama, he was wearing a magdala uniform." She looked away and waited for Aion's answer.
Aion gravely stared at her as she spoke further. A final battle? 9 years? Magdala uniform... This wasn't sounding good in the least bit. Did this mean his plans failed in the future? This world was known to draw people from different parts of time. If that were really the case then he had to find out exactly what happened to rectify it.
The sinner mumbled several words as he began to put on his coat. "Interesting. Have you decided to send me a true warning or perhaps another decoy to throw me off? Either way, neither matters. I'll be the one to open the path to freedom." Making sure he was nicely dressed and ready, he pushed his glasses up and walked out of the room with a hand gesture towards Fiore. "I'll wait by the entrance. Come as soon as you're ready."
Fiore was starting to feel like she did something wrong, but she knew that Aion was just as worried as she was about the whole situation. "Yes, Aion-sama."
Following Aion out the door, she made a slight detour to Gunter's room to let him know there was soup on the stove for him and that she and Aion would be away. Taking the tray back to the kitchen, she took a deep breath and went to meet Aion by the entrance.
