Who: Open! What: Arrival of Murata Ken. When: First time here and daytime. Where: Residential District. Rating: G (will change if necessary). Warning: None yet but could possibly be Kyou Kara Maou spoilers within.
Kaoru frowned, pressing his lips together for a few brief moments. "I think so. I hope so. I don't know until I..." He suddenly looked across at Murata, staring at him for a moment. "But if you're from 2000, and there's dancing and things there, then it worked, right? Then I don't need to worry about that" . He remained quiet after that; if he had been able to fix what he'd changed, than that was good, but that still didn't stop him from really wanting to go back home or, at least, be somewhere other than here. He didn't understand what was going on with this place, particularly as it seemed that he wasn't the only person that had more or less 'appeared' there. It was, he realised, more frustrating than anything that had happened previous as it was seeming that there was absolutely nothing he could do about it (and, the more he thought about it, the more he realised that the realistic chances of his coat being here were incredibly slim, particularly as there didn't seem to be anyone that managed to resemble anyone he had come across in one form or another numerous times in the past).
"I wonder how we can leave here", he vocalised finally. It was more of a metaphorical question than anything as, if Murata really had just arrived, he wouldn't know how to leave either, with or without Dr. Himuro's coat.
Kaoru stared at him blankly for a moment, eyebrows knitting together to form a confused look as he thought over Murata's suggestion. "A fountain or a lake?" He repeated slowly, his tone reflecting his confusion. After a moment, his expression cleared, and he murmured an 'oh, right'. The idea of getting wet really didn't appeal to him (particularly as he didn't have a change of clothes if Murata's suggestion didn't work), but he supposed it was worth a try if nothing else.
Standing still, he turned round on the sopt, trying to see if there were any direction that appealed to him and seemed to say 'yes! There's a fountain/lake this way'. None, however, did, and he looked across at Murata and shrugged his shoulders as if to say 'well, whichever direction's fine by me'.
He shrugged. "Let's just keep walking then until we find something. When I travelled between worlds before that was the easiest way but of course there was some help from the other end too. I wonder if anyone is trying to guide me through this time," he was talking partly to himself, thinking out loud.
Kaoru remained silent for a moment as the words sank in, and he shot Murata a quizzical look. It certainly explained how the boy had appeared so accepting of his own telling of the coat. But still... How was that even possible. "You've travelled between worlds?" He confirmed, the idea somewhat baffling; he couldn't help but wonder just what other worlds there were. Regardless, he didn't suppose it mattered a great deal. Or rather, he didn't suppose it mattered at the moment. He felt quite ready to completely disregard anything but the most necessary pieces of information until he could get home and relax at last.
"Who would be trying to 'guide you'?" He added after a brief pause.
Murata weighed what he should tell and what he shouldn't tell but he sensed this man didn't have a link to Shin Makoku so it was probably all right to tell him some things.
"Yes, I've travelled to and from an alternate world a number of times. Actually quite often I was the guide and the one who knew the whys and hows but this place is unknown to me. On the other end to the place I usually went I had a couple of guides, mostly the shrine maidens at the temple."
"S-So, you're from a different world, and I'm from a different time", Kaoru surmised, running a hand through his hair. Face creasing into an expression of irritated helplessness, Kaoru sighed audibly. Already, he decided, he disliked this place, and he didn't have a real reason to do so (he hadn't been attacked and the one person he had met seemed nice enough, and not about to argue with him as to who he was). "What is this? It's ridiculous. I just wanna go home..." He complained quietly, more to himself than to Murata.
"...Normally, a town centre - um, square - has a fountain..." He said eventually, his tone reflecting his less than happy attitude. Of course, he didn't know where the town centre was, but he decided that wasn't the point. It gave them somewhere to aim for.
"Mm," he agreed. "Or even a puddle somewhere... but it doesn't look like it rained. Or even a toilet! Surely there must be a toilet around here somewhere...," he again looked around for signposts.
"A toilet?!" Kaoru repeated, turning to Murata, something of a horrified expression on his face. "I'm not jumping into a toilet or anything! I'll find my coat. There's no way that I'm doing that with a toilet!" He exclaimed, screwing his nose up. Regardless, he thought that maybe, if there really was no other way to get home other than jumping in a toilet... He would probably do it. It was strange, really, he thought, just to what extremes people would go to when faced with a situation they never thought they'd be faced with. No matter what he might say, he was glad that thus far this was at least tamer than 1623, but he wasn't sure that he entirely preferred it.
Murata laughed lightly at the reaction. "It's quite clean and fresh water once it's been flushed! But of course that's only one option. If it's a bathroom then there may be a bath which would be easier. As long as it has water somewhere - of course I'm not sure if that will work here but we don't have many other options to try out right now, do we?" He looked to Kaoru again for ideas.
Whether it was clean or not was besides the point; it was hardly the most dignified way to return to somewhere (Kaoru had his doubts as to quite how dignified he was, but he was certain he was more dignified than jumping into a toilet at a moments notice). "A bath sounds bet-- Hey, what's with all this talk of water, anyway? Why is it water? Isn't there anyway of doing it so you don't get wet?" He questioned, continuing to walk in a rather miscellaneous direction. "The only way I know of getting back home is with that coat, but that would only be for one person, and..." He trailed off, frowning. "But if you're from a different world, I still don't know what year it is here. I wonder... It could... I don't know if it does, but perhaps it's the future? I don't know", he responded, rambling somewhat. This entire place baffled him, and it wasn't a feeling he was enjoying in the slightest, along with the fact that the one person he had met thus far had as much of an idea as he did.
He shrugged. "Water is just the way I know of. I'm sure a coat would be much easier! And drier!! But then you said about time travel, right? I haven't done that, I've only travelled between different worlds."
"I wonder how we can leave here", he vocalised finally. It was more of a metaphorical question than anything as, if Murata really had just arrived, he wouldn't know how to leave either, with or without Dr. Himuro's coat.

His eyes darted around but he didn't find what he was looking for. "We should try to find a fountain or a lake or something!"
