Near closed the screen of the small computer that he had been using, trying to reprocess all of the information that he had gathered and connect those things

Cold black heart fluttered when hidden blood-eyes spotted the familiar form in front of him.
O FORTUNA!
B had to suppress the cackle that threatened to escape. He remembered this one from his days at that place. He had always seemed to like him. Oh, it made his blood boil at the thought.
Near's hair was so white.
B wanted to make it crimson.
Settle, Beyond, Settle.
He'd only come to this area to attempt to find out where he was, and here was this delicious little toy standing right in front of him. Well... might as well play.
B crept up on Near, approaching him from behind before coming to stand by his side; wordlessly. His contacts were in, leaving him virtually indistinguishable from the man Near would most likely think he was.
[[OoC: Hello there Near-mun~! Hope you don't mind B running in to Near :3!!]]

“ . . . L?” was all that he said.

The mask put B off. It was really horrible looking; not at all what someone as beautiful as L should be represented by.
Hideous.
A nod.
"It seems we have both come to a strange place."
I hate you! I hate you! Calm B, Calm...
He wanted to reach out and rip that stupid mask off of Near's face, and then hopefully rip his head off his shoulders. But no. Not yet. Not quite yet.
Play with him. Just a bit more~
B scratched his leg with a single foot; another habit of his that B wanted to show off. He knew everything.

“So it would seem. The problem seems to be however, how did we come here.”
Watching as he scratched his leg with the bare feet Near was torn between wanting to believe this was really L; however, there still wasn’t enough evidence that this person really was L.
“L. . . It’s good to see you, alive again.” Near was not sure if there would a recognition of having died, or if L would remember anything; no he would have to give a little more information to see if this really were L.
“It’s over, the Kira case has been solved. I’ve got the concrete evidence.”

L had died?! Oh this was no good, no good at all! Someone had beat L but no! No! B should have been the one to beat L. B wanted to defeat him, crush him , see L squirm. But no. Someone else had beat him to it and now he was dead and he'd never be able to beat him!
Of course, B didn't let any of this inner turmoil show on the surface.
The next thing Near stated excited him even more.
Already?! Fast, Near. Fast! I could do it faste... I could do it BETTER!
"That is a relief to here." Same monotonous tone, same flat expression.
Calm.

“It was as you had suspected all along. Had you not doubted yourself I’m sure that you would not have lost.”
Pulling off the mask Near set it aside and pulled a few of the toys out of his bag. He set each of them on the table one at a time, lining them up. In total he pulled out the one of L, Kira, Mello, and himself.

Oh, L must have been so crushed if he had doubted himself. No. Not his L. Not that cocky bastard who was always so right!
Calm Beyond, CALM!!
His eyes flashed, an unconscious sign of recognition when Near took off the mask. He saw the secret name, saw just how much time he had left to live. Not that he understood the numbers. Hopefully they meant he died soon.
"Mmmm... I'm sure you are correct. Only, if I had doubted myself. I knew all along, I just couldn't produce the evidence."
Was that the proper response? Yes, Yes it was. There was no way B was wrong...

“L have you eaten anything? It would appear that this is a cafe, I'm certain they would have something sweet."
Near hesitated before continuing on, his next question would be the one to tell him if this person was really L.
“Kira, I wonder how many times he fooled us. . . L who was it you suspected of being Kira?”
Reply
"I have not eaten anything yet..."
He brought his finger up to his lips, chewing the nail thoughtfully as he assumed L would do in this situation.
Idiot! Idiot! Stop questioning me!
"Mmm... It's unwise to share such things. If you are not who you say you are,and have lied to me it would be dangerous."

He put the toys away and stood up and turned to go into the café.
“Then you’ll understand why if I don’t tell you who it was. If you were to turn out to not be L, then it would be dangerous. There is no currency here, and from what I’ve seen no one in any of the shops. . . so it looks like we’ll have to make what we want ourselves.”

"Understandable, Near."
The cackle was getting so hard to hold back now. It was almost too perfect. Near was believing him. He was winning! It felt good to be winning over someone who L thought was so like himself...
This last thought enraged B. Someone that was so like L but still not L! Defeating L was the goal...
He needed to defeat L.
"I will have to pass for now." He waved a dismissive hand. "I need to find more information on this place."
Without an 'excuse me' or 'so long', B turned away from the white haired kid and finally let his malicious grin curl up the sides of his lips.
One down. One down. One down.

L would have responded to Near’s last statement saying it was a wise choice. L would have asked how Near had closed the Kira case, L would have asked if near had found any information on this place, but most of all L would not have turned down sweets in place to wander a place he did not know. L would have asked questions, he would have wanted Near’s opinion, the information that he had gathered so far. But this person had not asked Near a single question.
“goodbye. . . L. I will contact with what I have found so far.”
Near was not certain who this person was, but it was not L.
