Ion, unknowing that the Anise was an impostor, slowly made his way to the forest. He wasn't quite sure why he was suddenly needed, but that didn't necessarily matter. After last night's happenings, there really was no need to question his Fon Master Guardian's antics.
And so, smiling ever so slightly, Ion approached "Anise", coming to a halt just a few feet away from her.
"Here I am," he said, keeping his somewhat pleasant expression. "Now then, what was it that you wanted to tell me?"
To say the least, Ion hadn't expected this. To think, he had been so easily fooled and now was being grabbed by a complete stranger just made no sense. Even weirder was the fact that he had been able to copy Anise's appearance perfectly.
"Who are you...?" Ion asked, as he attempted to get out of Envy's grip. "More importantly, how do you know who I am? I don't believe we've spoken before..."
He held on tighter, laughing. He wasn't surprised that Ion was confused. Anyone who hadn't met the homunculus would be. He was going to succeed, even if it meant sparing a few lives...
"Envy." He looked down at the boy. Watching him struggle was amusing, to say the least. "I've done my research. Now, if you want your friends to live, you'll cooperate."
Ion stopped struggling the minute Envy mentioned his friends. Clearly this man was dangerous, not to mention cunning, since he had somehow been able to discover the Fon Master's weak points and, more importantly, boxed him in a corner like so. There really was no way out of this, not with this threat.
"Alright..." he said, ceasing his struggles. "I'll cooperate, but please, don't hurt anyone..."
Just as he thought. In the time he had been created, he had learned a lot of things. If you wanted to strike a deal and make someone agree to it, you had to mention (or take away) someone important to the person in question.
He showed Ion the stone the hedgehog had given him. He knew it would kill Ion if he read it, but not like he cared. He wanted to know the future - and he would, in due time.
"Read this when we get to a more... secure... location."
And so, smiling ever so slightly, Ion approached "Anise", coming to a halt just a few feet away from her.

"Well, Fon Master. I would have thought that you would be a little more suspicious."
