Walking down the road from the mansion and towards the entrance of the abandoned village, Aion stopped his footing as soon as he made it to where the huts were located. Peeking his head into one particular hut, he grins at the boy fast asleep at the table. Bingo he thought. This was the exact hut he had in mind to set up the device, making it more convenient on his part ( ... )

Reki started from his sleep. "Excuse me, Balmung! I must have zoned out. What was it that you needed--" He stopped short, looking surprised at first. And then it flooded back. He was not in The World, and he was not talking to Balmung. He vaguely remembered being called "boy," not something that Balmung adressed him as. He was in his mid-twenties, but he supposed that his avatar did look significantly younger than himself, to the point that Kamui would call him 'Balmung's little add-on.'

Rather, the voice he had heard belonged to a different man whom he did not recognize. Reki looked up at him in a slightly embarrassed manner, and replied. "I am. Then you're...?" His voice trailled off, leaving Aion to finish his sentence. He wanted to be sure that this was him.

[ooc: ♥~ This will be fun. ^_^]

Returning a dumbfounded look, Aion just silently watched as Reki apologized to someone who's name, wasn't familiar to him at all. Seeing that the blond haired boy was another one, serving under a higher order, he curls his lips in amusement and a bit of relief. Knowing that he's served under someone else usually meant that he had to been useful at one point.

Tilting his head down and pushing his glasses up with his index and middle finger, they gave off an eerie glare as he answered the boy. "Indeed.. I am.." Seeing a whole bunch of papers scattered across the table, he puts one hand down on top of them as he carefully looked at the ovals and writings scribbled all around it. Loosely, he comments on Reki's diligent efforts. "I see someone has been quite busy... Is this..."

[[ooc: Yes~~ it will~~<33 =>W<= ♥ you!]]

"Aion, huh?" Reki watched him as he studied his papers as he spoke. "Yes, it's a chaos gate. I think that... it should be possible. Magic works in this world, so I can't see why different technologies wouldn't." After noticing that Aion was not going to comment on his mistaking him for Balmung, Reki fully recovered his composture. However, Reki hardly moved his eyes from Aion as he put the papers back in an orderly fashion, disregarding the one which Aion now touched.

"What are you going to need it for?" he asked, renewing the question from their prior conversation.

A Chaos gate. What a very suiting name that was. Aion curled his lips to the satisfying ring of its name as he slowly lets go of the paper underneath his hand, allowing Reki to add those to his pile.

Staring back into the boy's eyes, he lets out a sigh as he takes a seat in front of him. Crossing his legs and placing his elbow onto the arm of the chair, he leans onto his hand as he simply reiterates himself with a slight bounce to his voice. "Just as I said before... to get from one point to another. What else would it possibly be used for~" As the expression on his face gradually becomes more stern, he deeply inquires Reki on how exactly was this 'plan' of his going to work. "Now... let's get down to business... Explain and show me... how you plan on making this 'Chaos gate' of yours.."

As Reki put the remaining papers into his pile, he sighed. Now Aion was beginning to sound like Balmung, with the sound of teasing in his voice. "Yes, but you said that you would show me why you needed it." He supposed it didn't matter that much. What harm could a chaos gate possibly do? Reki had to admit that he was curious if it would actually work ( ... )

Grinning even more, Aion again just simply answers Reki back. "Patience... You will soon enough..." Seeing that the boy complied without further explanation on his part, Aion knew that he's got the genius inventor wrapped around his finger. What more could an inventor want than having to discover that his creation could possibly work out of its usual environment. There had been numerous humans in the past, that have been more than willing to bargain with a demon in order to get what he or she wanted. How was this mere human boy, enthralled in his work, any different from the rest ( ... )

"An underground mine?" Reki repeated. "I'll have to see if there's anything that will work in there. If there is then I might build it inside of the mine. That way I won't have to walk far if I needed any other resources from the mine...." Reki contemplated on the mine. It seemed convenient enough, although he wasn't sure there would be machinery in there. Then again, this world was a different place. But if it was underground, that meant.... "Do you know if there are lights inside of the mine? Or lanturns? I doubt I could see anything inside it otherwise. I have a few other questions too ( ... )

Watching the boy contemplate about this and that, Aion listened on as he found Reki's multiple questioning and mannerism rather amusing. Did all inventors behave like this? Granted he's dealt with Schader's numerous enthusiastic ramblings of what's needed and her rather cheerful behavior when something actually did work, but the similarities were still there ( ... )

"Yep, you'll need two then," Reki answered. "So I'll need two different passwords. You can tell me them when we get it built. I'll need to program in the passwords to be able to test it." Reki watched Aion as he answered his questions. He hoped that the mine would already be equipted with lights. He wasn't sure where he would find some otherwise, although he supposed that one of the stores would have some lanturns. And then there was the question of whether there was actually any machinery inside that would work. It seemed that he might have some time to work things out with the mine before building, at least ( ... )

Getting up from his chair, Aion pulls his comm device out of his pocket and looks down at the time and messages that were left for him as he smirks. Looking back up at Reki, he puts his device away as he responds back to him with a smile.

"Good.. I was going to suggest that you go check the mines out for yourself... I plan on heading over there right now... I'll contact you if anything is needed..."

Swiftly turning towards the exit, Aion's grin grew even wider the closer he approached the door. There were many things still left to be done but slowly the pieces were starting to fit into place. He could just feel Pandemonium in the palm of his hand, it was just the matter of time. The boy was going to be useful. Mere foolish humans. He found it quite ironic that this would be the one time he could thank 'God' that humans were created and brainwashed with such things as religion, so that they are more prone to doing 'charity' work for others...even for a devil.

Reki sat idly as he waited for Aion's approval and whether he had any other questions. It seemed as if he didn't, seeing how Aion had turned his attention to his communication device insead. At his response, Reki stood up as well and began to return the papers to his sack.

"If you're leaving to go there now, do you want me to come along? It would probably be more productive that way," Reki asked as he was quickly clicking through screens on his communication device. He glanced at Aion to see him near the door, and slipped his device back into the sack. He didn't have anything planned and would have checked the mine soon anyway. It seemed like everything was still in order at his house, and Kaoru was doing fine, according to his latest post in his device. It would be good to know whether he needed to plan to explore other areas of the surrounding city for materials as well.

[[ooc: Mmm, that makes sense. It'd be kinda funny to have Aion get stuck up there. He seems a bit too smart for that, though. ^_^; Aaand... I decided ( ... )

Looking back at Reki, Aion stopped his footing and turns around with an expressionless look to his face. It was only the mine, there was nothing to hide from the boy he thought. Why not check out the place together. Putting a smile back on his face, he agrees to Reki coming along.

"Alright then. This way." Heading out the door he started to lead the boy to the underground mines.

[[ooc: LOLOL yea~ it would be funny wouldn't it? =>W<=;;; And awesome~ that Reki is following~<33 The ideas you have are similar to the ones I had. We could add more as we go~ describing what's inside and whatnot <333 Yayz~~ I'll also have Aion contact Claus to help Reki out~<33 And since you kindly started this log I'll start the next one =^W^= v Thanks again! ]]
