Who: Shishiwakamaru Hiei, and later Murugu, Suzaku, Youda, and Yomi [Closed]
Where: Outside Yomi's Castle, and within the Barrier
When: After Hiei's report to Koenma
Summary: Hiei uses Shishi's anger towards Kuwabara as a bait for Shishi so he would be able to enter the castle, as well as other lovely run ins for the fire koorime.
Rating: PG-13 [for some reasons ^^]
Shishiwakamaru had decided to go out for a walk since he had gotten bored setting pranks for Suzaku. So he headed out of the castle and through the dark forest. His katana was tucked in the sash of his hakama. He was tired, only glancing around to see that the forest appeared empty. Ever since Yomi had taken up residence in the castle, the forest was quite, it seemed the goat lord's presence had added a creepy aura to the forest. But Shishi didn't care or even notice at the moment as he walked on.
The fire koorime watched in the hidden branches of the trees slowly, at the whoever came in and out of the place. The barrier that was up held him from entering it, and he could see the actions within the castle, but he needed to confirm all the information that was needed to be confirmed, as well as find out what was going on. He wasn't amused with a task, but Koenma had to force him, and the brat would not leave him alone if he said no anyways. His eyes picked up the form of the blue haired samurai had left the castle and in the forest. He could sense him and he could see him from a distance. Though, how would he get the samurai to lead him into the castle? He knew that he would have to use an alibi, but this was rather hard, since Shishi wasn't as stupid as he looks, well maybe he was. Though, noting the early journal entries, he was well aware that the oaf had made the samurai look bad, and obviously he was sure that the boy was still fumed about. That gave the fire koorime an idea.
Shishi moved his arm and winced, the cut was still uncomfortable. "That stupid oaf, I will kill him..." he grumbled under his breath. The bruise on this face was covered with make up to hide it, Shishi did not want it to be known that Kuwabara had managed to get a hit on HIM. Another huff. He would never admit it but he was embarrassed about it, and he tugged down the sleeve of his haori to make sure the bandage on his arm was hidden still.
The boy smirked. Yes, his persumptions were not off, and perhaps it was because he was aware of the boy's emotions. Though, he did not reveal himself yet, just stood there in the the dark vincity of the trees, and hidden his form in the leaves, the color of morbid green. He shifted his position, so he stayed hidden for a bit longer. First off, he would have to tell the boy that he was here to help them. He had the idea, but unsure how to present it to the samurai, so he would believe him. It would have been easier if it was the bird, but this case, it was another demon, about the same strength as him. Though, seeing him in a slight moping state, it shouldn't be hard to convince him.
Shishi drew the katana as he sat on a rock in a part of the forest where the sun came down and took out a cloth from the sleeve of his haori. Cleaning his sword was relaxing, running his finger along the sharp, gleaming blade that held a dark aura calmed him. "I will let you devour the ugly pathetic idiot soon," he muttered to what the sword contained, running the cloth along the glinting blade.
This was far from amusement now, the boy was really unaware of his presence here, even with his youki hidden, he should have sensed something. Though, he might have been blinded with his own reasons for not seeing the boy earlier. He moved to side of the branch and jumped off the brown branch onto the soft dirt ground, covered in wild grass of the forest. That should have made enough sound to track the boy's attention. He was aware of what he was doing, and it would be dangerous. Yomi wasn't one to be fooled as easily as the others. Even if he enetered the castle, he would be watched by invisible eyes. He would quickly attain his information and then rush off before he got caught, if he was caught, it would be much harder to escape when you are captured, then when you are trying to escape without anyone knowing. This was a chance the youkai was going to take, and not because of Koenma, or this wretched world.
Shishiwakamaru paused when Hiei jumped down and he froze, wondering how long the fire demon had been there. But he put an arrogant smirk on his face and stood, looking up at Hiei. "So, what is one of Koenma's pet lackey's doing around here?" Shishi asked, unaware of what Hiei's mission. But he was aware that Hiei was near Yomi's castle and since Shishi wanted to score points with Yomi, he would not let any information slip...at least for now.
"You shouldn't assume things before they are spoken. I am aware that the idiot human has packed a few punches on you, how amusing," he smirked, "though I have no reasons to assist Koenma in anything. I see no purpose for his protection of a world that is not even his," the boy replied icily at the samurai. He did not like to be referred as the lackey. In truth, he was only doing this whoe thing because he was forced to one way or another, and he obviously found that word offending, though Hiei did not show it in his expression. He only wanted to get into the castle soon, and the Samurai was the main ticket. Now, he had laid his cards, but now to play them carefully, so Shishi would take in every lie he spoke of.
"Hmph, you shouldn't assume things either. That IDIOT Kuwabara could NEVER touch me!" Shishi lied angrily. The cloth he had cleaned his sword had been tucked away but the sword was still in one hand, though he kept it lowered. "So why are you here then?" the samurai asked, trying to calm himself down now.
"I recalled him stating he had packed some punches on someone, just not who, but other than you, I am sure he has no grudge against anyone else, and the fool can never touch me to begin with," the boy retorted tot he blue haired demon. Yes, he was angry, and of course, the youkai could see through his lie. He was worked up, very worked up over a small thing, though he would not blame the creature. Hiei was quite amazed at Kuwabara's ability to do this, though, he would neve rreally say that in truth. The boy moved towards the samurai more so he would not have to speak so much, and of course, spark something for the blue haired male.
"IF I say I have an idea how to end the human's life for you, what would you say?" he smirked as he spoek to the boy, his blood red hues staring at the boy's magenta ones.
Shishi was ready to retort back again at Hiei but he paused when the fire demon spoke again. For a moment he looked at Hiei, thinking. He did not put it past Hiei to be speaking the truth, it obvious that Hiei and Kuwabara did not get along either but the samurai still had some doubts. "I thought you were working with Koenma, why are you offering help," Shishi asked seriously.
"As I said, I have no intention of playing hero for this world. It is not even mine, why do I have any reason to protect it. Koenma is foolish with his ideals," the boy replied. He was bluffing of course. Though, it was mostly the truth, minuse the fact that he is actually assisting Koenma, but Shishi wasn't as bright as he let on. Too bad, this seemed easier than it should have, perhaps it was a trap, but Shishiwakamaru isn't that intelligent to have plot anything this extreme, and he was sure that the boy was eagerly trying to find a way to kill Kuwabara.
Shishi smirked, he knew that Hiei no doubt of big of a crime it was to kill one of Koenma's allies so he did not further question Hiei. Of course he played more intelligent than he really was. "Well, I am curious to as to your plan to defeat Kuwabara..." he said with a grin.
"I am sure you are aware of his many weaknesses," the boy replied, "if I were to take hostage one of them, I am sure he will be at your feet, and dead, since he isn't one to abandon his friends and family. You would be more amused at his obediance once you grasp something important of his away, though you can't do that alone now can you?" the boy mused with a smirk well placed on his pale lips. the boy was not expecting Shishi to have a comeback at him easily, but he had thought of what to say, before the boy had asked him about, just in case. Hiei was not lying, when he spoke of how precious Kuwabara's family and friends are to him, and using it as his majour weakness, anyone would be able to do it, but it would be a bit complicated with the family and friends being in the base of Shishi's enemies, since he was with Yomi after all.
But his family is not here...are they? As for his friends, he doesn;'t seem to really have any besides Yusuke who has run off like the coward he is," Shishi scoffed with distain, flipping some strands of blue hair out of his face. "But...his cat..." he muse thoughtfully but he did not like the thought of having to go near a cat, even a small one. But he would not admit that weakness to Hiei.
"Yes, you are aware that the cat is very important to him, and if you have it within your grasp, I assure you, the oaf will be at your feet, doing whatever you wish," he replied. Though, he was unaware of Shishi's uneasiness about the cat, but it wasn't really hard, since he didn't mention the cat much, until he spoke of it. Hiei was pleased with this, since Shishi was at his fingertips right now, the boy was close to getting the youkai to trust him, and Shishi won't be able to get near the cat, since Kuwabara would be guarding it in truth, and Hiei could easily get the cat without wasting a breath at all, and Shishi wouldn't have to get his hands dirty. How amusing this situation had become.
A very creepy smirk appeared on Shishi's face now at the thought. All he would have to do is be around a cat but it would be well worth it if he had Kuwabara at his feet. "He would beg for mercy for the cat's sake, hm? how pathetic..." he remarked, tucking the sword away, a sign that he was starting to trust Hiei's words more.
"As much of a punk he is, his true weakness is his emotions towards a cat, I know it is pathetic, but in the end it would be your gain would it not?" he inquired. The boy was an easier target, but he was smart as well. Hiei would be a bit more cautious with the youkai for a bit longer, and find the right moment to get into the barrier, so it seems only Yomi's minions are able to pass through. He had tried, and it was unpleasant, but his small wounds were hidden within his cloak. Those were the results of forced entry. He did not attempt it a third time, since it would be a waste of time. The fire koorime was pleased with the results of the samurai trusting him more and more. Though, after this time, he would need to find another bait as well as figure a way to mess with Shishi's memory, so the fire koorime's cover would not be blown. If he told the others, then there was no chance into the castle a second time.
Shishi assumed Hiei was finished as he started walking to where the barrier was. The youki shield was invisible but to anyone who could see the aura of youki, there was a slight distortion in the forest that was spread out before them. Shishi turned as he noticed Hiei had not gone off yet. "Is there anything else?" he asked but he was starting to get cloud, the forest was starting to get dark.
Hiei did not reply, but of course, he could not say he wanted to get into the castle, that would blow his whole reason for faking that act about Kuwabara with him and such things. He did not want to ruin his chances, but he was sure that Shishi had trusted him enough to be this calm about it as well. Though he did not appear to care really, and started to move away from the scene, as though he was leaving the samurai there, but he was watching with his eye, and would strike only when it was the right moment, and if he failed to do so, then it would be very complicated to explain.
Shishi turned away as he stepped through the trees where the barrier lie. As he stepped through, the youki seemed to shift, it was clear that Yomi could tell everyone who stepped through it. But Shishi didn't seem to notice it or bother to glance back at Hiei again.
Hiei caught the changing of the barrier almost instantly, and whipped his head around, and moving at his super sonic speed at the samurai, and made it so he had a clear aim at the back of the boy's. It was a bad move to turn one's back on the enemy, even if you have begun to trust them. The boy moved his cloak aside to reveal his Katana. He drew the weapon and made a quick move to send the hilt area towards the back of the samurai's neck, where h is pressure point was, and he might have used a bit too much force, but it was for safety matters.
The barrier let him pass and the blow fell on Shishi's neck the moment after the samurai and fire demon crossed the youki shield. Violet eyes went wide as Shishi felt the blow and the tengu collapsed on the ground, out cold. But nearby the Japanese style castle of the goat lord was visible now. Despite being blind, the gardens were perfectly kept up and everything was kept neat.
Hiei stared at the unconscious samurai for a moment, before sheathing his weapon with a faint smirk, "Fool, never trust an enemy's word," he mused, before taking a hold of the body and moved it to a nearby random structure and left it there. In a way, it would not be too suspicious, but he would have to be on guard, or else it would be dangerous to continue blindly. He took out the map and looked at it. It only showed the way to the castle, but not around the castle. He would have to send a report through that communicator device to the baby prince, so he would know that the youkai had made it through to the barrier. He didn't move yet, but looked at the sword that belonged to Shishi. It would be amusing if he took the weapon and tossed it somewhere, that way, the samurai would have to look for his sword first, before persuiting the intruder. He smirked and reached for the weapon of the unconscious samurai, after he had moved him away from eyes' view.
The sword had a very creepy aura that seemed to be almost...alive or moving. The dead souls could recognize the youki of who handled the sword and it seemed to react to Hiei touching it. The castle was quite, Youda came out to get a pot that contained various flowers but the old goat didn't seemed to notice Hiei as he headed back inside.
The boy inwardly scoffed at the aura the sword was giving off, but it didn't scare him as it should have most people. His eyes stared at the weapon and noticed there was another person nearby, but they were not aware of his bein here so, the boy made a move to discard the weapon and get a move on before something more intelligent gets an eyefull of their intruder. With that thought in his head, the boy took a hold of the sword and tugged it, so it would be loose from the area that had been holdihng it.
It's the three eyed freak!" came the crowing of a bird. And there Murugu sat at on the eve of the roof of the castle as she stared down at Hiei. She grinned, ruffling her feathers looking very pleased. She had watched Hiei enter but she didn't care what happened to Shishi. "I should go tell Yomi-sama!"
Hiei's eye darted to the direction of the bird, after he discarded ther weapon somewhere, so that the samurai would have a bit of trouble looking for it. His eye glowed. The damn bird, it would ruin his chances without even taking a step into the castle, since its squawing was bound to trigger some sort of unwanted attention as well as chances of waking up Shishi, even if he was passed out not far from it. He narrowed his eyes, as he reached for his Katana, if he killed it, it would be easy to continue, but if he did, then it would cause an uproar, maybe he could threaten this low grade mongrel so it would stay silent. The thought of torching it with his Koukuryuuha wasn't bad, but he hardly doubt it would take much to get the bird to shut up. It was getting harder by the moment to continue, but he could not stop, not after going this far.
"If you don't cease to squawk, I will be forced to rip your tongue out, bird."
You're all the way down there, retard! and I am up here!" Murugu giggled, flapping her wings happily. "Yomi will rip out your guts and it will be fun to play with them when you lay dead in a pile of your own organs!" the bird said happily, oh it would be such a beautiful thing!
Hiei seemed unfazed by the threat, and it only continued to irritate him even longer with its endless squawking, so it was true that Suzaku had also aided Yomi in this little game of his, "I don't need to move to kill you. Allow me to burn you to nothing with my Koukuryuuha, that way you won't be an eyewitness to my being here, and there be no evidence that I ever killed you, because you will be nothing more than ashes that would scatter away in the wind," the boy retorted, "I would value my life if I were you."
The bird looked at him for a few moments, it was clear Hiei was not bluffing and she didn't want to turn out crisped! "I will tell the goat still, FUREAK!" Murugu squawked as she flew off...fast.
Hiei moved into action after it took off. Damn, why did it have to be so complicated. Koenam owed him for taking on this pathetic mission, and the chances of him getting caught was very likely. Hiei chased after the bird, using his demonic speed, since he would not allow it to get away. There were ways to get the bird even without using his Koukuryuuha. It was already intimidated by his words, but obviously not taking it seriously enough to shut up. This was worse than trying to get through to Shishi.
Murugu had taken off to fly down and around the castle to the sprawling Japanese style gardens at the back of the castle. There was a pond with a few remaining fish...the few lucky ones that had been spared being caught by Murugu and ripped apart. She swooped down towards the veranda, clearly intending to fly inside.
Hiei moved easily next tot he bird, and creating mists of water as he moved into the pind, not acknowledging that he was slowly getting drenched with the water from the pond. He ignored teh fishes that were in it, and his goal was getting the bird. He avoided causing anything to fall, or break, or ever sounds that would sound threatening to the castle. No, the bird cannot tell Yomi, even i f he was aware that the youkai was no fool to let him roam free here. He caught up with the bird and jumped up towards the veranda, and attempting to get the bird, and stoppig it from reaching the inside. Oh, he would really have to growl something at Koenma. Hiei was annoyed now, very annoyed, and it took him a while to contain the thought of using the koukuryuuha on the bird, because the discharge would also tell them that the enemy had ended up in their territory. Just damn efficient isn't it?
Murugu squawked loudly in fear as Hiei caught her. Oh this was not good, she was certain he would roast HER and where was the fun in that? She squirmed in his grasp, flexing her talons to attempt to get away.
The boy squeezed the bird even more, with his dark hues glowering at the demon bird, "I will not hesitate to end your life right now. You have proven a nusiance, and I cannot allow you to tell anyone... anything" the boy mused in a dark tone at the bird, he kept a firm grasp on it, so it would have a problem escaping, or dying, if he felt the need to squeeze the life out of it. Hiei jumped off the veranda and landed at the side of the pond. He awaited on what the bird would do in this situation, and he would need to to be silent.
I won't tell a soul!" Murugu squeeked, clearly scared for her own life. As much as she was a bird who enjoyed blood and gore, she could be cowardly when confronted with danger to herself.
"How can I trust a bird like you? Maybe I should kill you right now," he mused squeezing the bird some more in his hand. Even if the bird swore it, letting it live would be a big nusiance. It could simply run off and open its mouth, and then rat him out just as easily as it would say it won't tell anyone. He had to figure a way to silence the bird, and knocking it out won't work, since it was aware of his appearance before it, and caught him in the castle.
No!!!" Murugu wiggled around more. " I swear on Suzaku-sama! I won't say a thing!" the bird was willing to say or do anything to get out of danger, she knew that Hiei would not hesitate to roast her, feathers and all!
"I don't trust you... but if you speak of my intrusion here, I WILL kill you, even if it means killing your master first," the boy replied icily, before tossing the bird aside, not too gently either and turned his back towards the bird, "I am warning you... if anything leaks out, you will be the first to die," he sneered, before slowly walking off in search for a safer enterance into the castle. He would not lie when he said he would hunt the bird, until it was dead for sure. He was aware of the danger he was putting in, on letting the bird go, but there isn't time. He couldn't kill it right now, since it was enemy territory.
And Murugu heeded the warning as she flew off fast, she would tell but not after she made sure that Hiei was gone and would not fry her to a crisp.
The sliding door that that was the rear entrance was slightly open and a tea set lay out on the porch, Youda had not taken it in from Yomi's evening tea but the porch was empty for now, as was the corridor the door lead to.
Hiei knew that letting the creature free would cost him, but at least he would be quiet for the time being. If it took him as much as killing the pet's master, then the boy would do it. He played no games, and when he meant he would kill the damn bird, he would do it without hesitating either. The boy noticed the rooms that were left open, but he did not risk going towards the porch, but instead towards the door that led him towards an unknown corrider. He would continue his search there, and get out when he found enough information to serve for the Reikai Prince.
There were stairs that lead the the upper levels and the entire corridor was dark. There were little decorations and there and there were potted plants where it seemed someone had cut off the plants at the stem...or bitten them off as it were.
Hiei seemed to stare at the two passages as he entered. What more was there to do? He would have to continue from here. The boy moved silently up to the upper levels, keeping a low profile and masking his youki to the best of his efforts, but it would only fool those who worked for Yomi, and if he was right, he was sure that the Youkai Lord would already have noticed something here, that wasn't suppose to be. He avoided inspecting the plants and whatever laid in the paths, on the thought of being consumed or attacked by them. For his own safety, avoid it. .
The upper levels contained rooms of those who worked for Yomi. The screen to Shishi's room was closed but the one to Suzaku's was open since Shishi had been in their earlier to leave a few surprises for the other.
Hiei decided to check the room that had been left open. The lighting was faint, and the rooms provided little interest to him, except the one that was opened. He didn't want to risk opening a closed door to see some minion after him, it would be foolish, and he would always check before hand as well. His Jagan glowed in the utter darkness, as he inspected the rooms. There didn't seem to be any sort of living creature here right now. They must be off doing some sort of foolish thing. He took silent steps towards the opened room, and made his way slowly and cautiously towards the room. There was too much to expect, even in a castle that seemed to have no one in it at the timed moment, at least it would be easier to move around in.
In the corner of the room, curled to a tight ball remained the phoenix, leader of the saint beasts. He was curled up in a small ball, twitching or perhaps shivering under the covers. It was dark, or she he thought it would be more 'safe'. "Go away!" he mumbled.
Hiei made his way into the room, but what he discovered was a rather disturbing scene. The area was darker, and he had barely moved into the room, whent he voice spoke from somewhere in the dark room. He could see a ball curled up in some cloth and raised a brow at the scene. What is with the people here? Are all Yomi's minions this pathetic? He had thought they would at least look and acted stronger, but so far, it didn't seem to be the case.
"I saw your underwear! It was black and had skulls!! Aaahh" Suzaku cringed at the mental image of Toguro's briefs.
Murugu was worried about her master but she perched on the bed, facing Hiei. She would defend her Suzaku-sama! "Suzaku-sama is not defective, retard! at least he doesn't have a freak eye!"
"I'm not the one curled up in a ball now am I?" the boy retorted. The bird was getting irritating and the boy only raised a brow at the comment, just what happened that cauased this. Something that even a demon was not capable of handling.
Suzaku held the blanket tightly around him and randomly peered at the sides just to assure the hulk in a small skirt wasn't close. Gulping he mumbled again "Murugu, ...who is there?"
"It's the freak of a midget, Hiei! Come to spy!" the bird said, making sure to stay close to Suzaku incase Hiei tried to roast or grab her again.
The boy merely stared at the bird, obviously the demon that was curled up in a ball wasn't going to say much, even so, he still couldn't risk that chance of leaving them as they were. That bird, it WILL die, when he got his hands on it. He didn't seem too amused with the fact that he had been called a midget once more. "I shouldn't be talking if I was the one begging for my pathetic life moments ago," he retorted with a flat stare at the green bird.
"Tell him to leave! I have nothing to do with his underwear!" Suzaku cringed incoherently. "Sailor Toguro will come for him! And will ... make odd things to his part where the sun doesn't shine!"
Murugu hissed at Hiei's words but at Suzaku's words...the green bird twitched at the mental image, she could never forget, it was horrid!!!!! "Go away, FUREAK! Or the hulk will sit on you!" Murugu squawked at Hiei, flapping her wings.
"I am gussing the bird is even more defective, is freak the only thing you are capable of saying?" he smirked, but inwardly twitched at the comment about his under garments. Then the Sailor Toguro? Just what the hell was going on. "The only way a creature like that can sit on me, if it is faster than me," he retorted to the bird's comment about being sat on. No matter, it was amusing to watch this scene before him.
"Sailor Toguro is stronger than Yomi! He'll do everything he wants and then..! And then kill you!" The demon added and rolled over the bed, covering his head with a pillow
Well, that's what you are! Someone should poke out that retarded third eye!" Murugu countered. She was worried for Suzaku but she would deal with that after the midget left.
: "Such strong words for a coweing bird, how amusing. I have no reason to toy with a defective demon anyways. As for Toguro, I don 't know what you are talking about, but I assure you, he won't be able to kill me as easily as you said," the boy replied getting annoyed with the bird squawking out words that were meaningless and cowering behind its master no less. The boy took a few steps away from the opened door, and started to walk away. Such a disgrace he was seeing right now. He would have expected more threats, though he probably guessed they weren't in the vincity right now.
Murugu glared at Hiei, a subtle message to leave as she went over to Suzaku, attempting to comfort him. She was dedicated bird despite her nasty temperment.
Hiei scoffed at the bird as he made his way out of the room, not bothering to look back. It was such an irritating day, that Koenma better have something to calm him down, if not, the boy was going to have a few words of his own to the prince. He didn't expect that many of Yomi's minions to be here, whether they were threatening towards him or not. That bird would die, but somewhere else more secluded would do. The fire koorime made view of the dark hally before him after exiting that room.
The upper rooms were otherwise empty and dark. There was the soft sound of Yomi and Youda's voices from downstairs in the goat lord's study but otherwise, things were silent.
Being a demon he could hear the faint muffled voices, but not loud enough for him to make out the words. His third eye glowed in the dark area, scanning the area for anything really. He did not know how he had missed the demon in that room as well as he was still a bit amused with the situation the demon was in. Though, that was only a small thing to worry about. Where would he find some useful information to use for the prince, well useful enough so he could get out of this place.
Yomi gestured for Youda to be silent for a moment. of course he knew Hiei was there and the goat smirked slightly.
Youda looked at the goat lord, glanced at the door, then back at Yomi, clearly confused.
Hiei moved on in silence through the way, but knowing very well, that his main target should have tracked him by now. At least, not everyone was able to sense his presence, even if his youki was hidden, masked away from most, he was sure the youkai lord would have suspected something, but nonetheless, he took rhe chance to continue onward.
Yomi had been aware of Hiei's presence since the other had entered the barrier. But ignoring Youda's confused silence, Yomi sat and merely 'watched' Hiei. Greetings, I am quite impressed, Hiei is it not...
Hiei stopped moving. His feet ceased in moving any further. His dark hues narrowed. Yes, he was right, and he could hear that message clearly from the other. It seemed dangerous now, that the youkai had greeted him so easily. With his eyes still narrowed, and no movement made in the dark halls, the youkai would only smirk uneasily at the message. Yomi was definately a force to be watched. Nonetheless, the fire koorime said nothing in reply.
I have a feeling you have quite a lot to report to the prince, don't you? the goat lord remarked, it was a very clear hint that Hiei's welcome was worn out now. Yomi let Hiei figure out how to get in and see those weak minions of his, it was better to be underestimated....
With a silent grunt, the boy searched for a way out now. Obviously he took the message as easily as it was given. Though getting out might not be as easy as getting in. Perhaps he was being tested on this whole ordeal, but it was best to stay cautious even if everything seemed as they were. This was very different from his interference back in the Makai before the Makai Bujutsukai, but either way, he was well aware that Yomi wasn't to be messed with head on. So where were the rest of his minions? That was something that the boy had pondered for a bit. He only saw Shishi, the bird, and the demon Suzaku, who was still alive, though he recalled Yusuke had killed him... guess it wasn't permanent. Yet, nothing was replied back to the demo lord. He didn't have anything to say to begin with.
No one met Hiei on his way out, the corridors were still empty. It seemed as if Yomi was letting Hiei go without any trouble but as always, the goat lord had something up his sleeve for later. But for now, Yomi expected Hiei to return to Koenma and report on what he had seem.
It was a rather easy path to get out. Once he had left the castle, and walking slowly on his way out of it, the boy had thought how easily he had come in and escaped. Perhaps there was something he missed as well, but even for himself, Yomi was a hard person to figure out, whether he was a youkai lord or just another demon, it was still hard to tell what he was thinking about, but Hiei would not be pleased when he reported this to Koenma, but he wasn't aware of the plans that Yomi had coming also, but he would try to figure it out slowly, to the best of his abilities, whether it was for Koenma or just for himself. Let's just say Yomi was one of the few demons that sparked his interest.
Yomi smirked, amused. He turned his attention back to the papers Youda was trying to go over with him, dismissing the matter from his mind until later.
