Ryou stumbled out of bed, he missed Cain so much that it felt like a weight was being lifted a few inches of his back so that he could make his way to the door and see him. At the same time something in the back of his mind commented "You look like death, and you still want him to see you? Have you no shame?" but he ignored the voice. He didn't have shame. He was horrible He knew it hurt Cain to see those he cared about falling apart, and here Ryou was burdening him.

A tear slid down his already tear stained face as he pulled the door open to his bedroom, hearing his voice called caused him to cry out worse that were muddled through tears and a cracking horse voice.

Well, there was Ryou. Golden-green eyes flashed with something between anger and fear as they looked the other boy over completely.

Then, in a heartbeat, he was pulling Ryou out of his room, brushing fingers through his hair and kissing protectively across his forehead and cheeks, dragging the Japanese youth into a tight hug without a word.

He saw the flicker of emotion in the golden eyes he loved so much and felt like he aught to be stricken for the cruelty he was placing upon Cain. He left himself be dragged out of his sanctuary only because the arms that were holding onto him were being kind.

"I'm so sorry..." he sobbed into the other's chest, as he clung desperately to Cain. "Please forgive me...I'm a horrible person, please don't be mad at me..."

[[ooc: I have to run out and do some errands, I'll be back in about an hour and a half]]

"You haven't done anything wrong," Cain murmured easily in reply, pulling the other boy closer in a protective embrace. "There's nothing wrong now. I've got you. You're going to be fine, Ryou."

He tugged Ryou forward, leaning himself back against the wall slightly. His eyes remained closed, hand tangled in Ryou's hair as he forced soft soothing noises from his lips.

Ryou took in deep breathes and made himself straighten up a little to look into cain's eyes. It made him feel better to see Cain, the soft sounds he kept making to sooth Ryou were being muddled by the chaos that was rolling through his mind.

"Are...Am...what's wrong with me..." he asked in a cracked voice, curling in closer, hoping that this was not another trick his mind was playing on him again. Bakura's cruel plot to hurt him again.

"You're fine," Cain insisted fiercely, eyes gold and glittering with determination. He pressed another soft kiss against the older boy's forehead, wanting more than anything to take the pain away. "Tell me what's wrong."

Ryou wanted to believe what he heard was true, but the horrible laughter and sounds and memories that kept attacking him were painful and proved to him that he was not "fine"

"I hear things...they keep reminding me...of how bad I am..." he smirk appeared across his face "Ryou is a horrible person, Ryou longs for attention so he pulls those who he feels need help to himself...then he makes sure they never leave his side...how stupid and childish of Ryou.." he shuddered at the thought of what he had just quoted.

"They're right...I am using you...and the little Bakura...and Malik...aren't I?" he was angry at himself "why should any of you bother with someone as stupid as me? I should let you all be free...let you be happy without worrying about someone as weak as me." the words were tainted with bitterness.
