What: Remus enters the vortex~
When: Noon...ish.
Where: Forest, near park... (that's where he senses some people)
Rating: PG, PG-13. (I'm pretty sure it won't get that bad...)
Today, the relatively quiet forest creatures were restless. Near the base of a large tree, sat a young, teenage boy with brown hair and his back slumped against the trunk, seeming to be asleep. A squirrel came up to tentatively sniff his hand, but scampered away when the boy started to stir. Remus Lupin opened his eyes, only to close them again instinctively, for the bright, relentless, sun was directly above him. Putting a hand over his eyes to shield them, he squinted to look around at his surroundings. He deducted that he was not in the Forbidden Forest, for it was devoid of the sinister atmosphere he sensed the few times he snuck out with his friends to explore the place.
He sighed a sigh of relief, happy he wasn't going to be eaten by giant spiders or attacked by angry centaurs, but that relief soon replaced panic, when he realized he didn't recognize this new forest at all. He rose quickly, stood still for a moment, then started to pace back and forth in front of the tree he was just sleeping against. Where was this? How did he get here? His thoughts leaped instinctively to his 2 troublemaking friends, but discarded the thought just as quickly as it entered his mind. "No, they wouldn't do this, it doesn't seem like their style..." he mumbled as he remembered that James and Sirius liked to leave an impression with their pranks. Finally, he stopped pacing, took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. "Okay Remus," he told himself. "Staying here won't make a difference, so let's go trying to look for somebody. Maybe someone would be able to help." He noted with some relief that he had his wand, but he was puzzled when a strange device with many buttons made its appearance from one of his pockets. After checking to see it wasn't anything dangerous, he put it back in his pocket, and with the wand out, started moving forward in the direction he thought he sensed some human presence...
