The building resembled nothing to much as a giant iron, the likes of which you would see in a common house. Patrolling outside it were beings of various species all in the same uniform - dark blue with old-style Earth police hats. Some where human-like, some has extra arms, and a few were robots. The building on the side had a huge mark labeling it "MM-08."

At the bottom of the path Magnius was taking were two robots - both of which looked humanoid and both of which had what seemed to be televisions for heads. Both the televisions had mere black screens with light-bulbs on them. Both had rifles in hand, and seemed to be standing guard. Neither noticed Magnius - yet.

Seeing the two robots a short distance down the path, Magnius quickly ducked into the shadow of the earthen wall. He shifted his axe into a more battle-ready position, held in both hands and parallel to the ground. Keeping his eyes on the strange robots, he summoned up his mana.

"Fire ball!" he whispered fiercely. As the attack connected, Magnius leapt away from the wall, axe poised to hack the robots to piles of scrap metal.

The fireball blew up one of the robots' heads, which briefly changed to a " !" before sinking to the ground knees first, then completely. The other robot turned and the screen now showed a " D< " on it as it opened fire with the rifle in a vain attempted to damage Magnius.

Magnius's eyes widened. He swung the wide blade of his axe upward, deflecting the bullets. Growling, he swung the blade back down and to the left, cleanly chopping through both robots.

"Too easy," he sneered, kicking past the metal rubble. He quickly moved towards the factory, trying to figure out just where the hell the entrance was.

There was no clear entrance to the factory - for it resembled nothing so much as an iron to a fault. There was no door or gate or anything, just a big twenty or thirty foot high iron which lazily billowed white smoke out of the bottom.

The guards on the ground floor, of various species, seemed to be picking up on the intruder though. they all paused, then quickly whipped out various shaped glocks at quasi-gansta angles to point at Magnius. One of them barked orders in some language the half-elf probably couldn't understand, and another rushed to insert a small card-key into the side of the iron, opening a gat-door thing, apparently getting reinforcements.

[[ ooc: Glocks meaning pistols =x I love how not-serious I can make MM <3 ]]

Crap, Magnius thought. Just gotta pulverise them before backup gets here. He smirked sadistically, readying his axe once more.

"Hell Axe!" he cried out, swinging the blade downward. A firey explosion of mana erupted from the ground beneath it, thoroughly roasting many of the guards. Their weapons singed in the extreme heat, burning some guards' hands and becoming welded to others. Magnius swung upward, slicing through the remaining guards who had begun to open fire on him.

[[ooc: I rather enjoyed that paragraph..."quasi-gangsta angles". xD]]

The guards had never stood a chance against the superior might of Magnius, and now in the search for back=up the door to the factory lay exposed. However, right inside the factory where three large robots, all about twenty feet in height that vaguely resembled walking human hands - using the ring and middle fingers as feet, the thumb as a tail and the index and pinky as arms. Each one was armed with two huge glocks, and stood there, "hidden" in the shadows as best a twenty-foot robots could head in a factory not much taller than them, waiting for the half-elf to enter.

Magnius stepped through the gaping entrance. He trekked cautiously though the dark hallway, scanning the width of the corridor with his eyes. Pausing, he raised an eyebrow. Slowly turning his head to the side, he found himself face-to-face (knuckle) with what appeared to be a giant hand of some sort.

A beat.

What the hell?! Magnius thought. By then, the robots had noticed that he had noticed their clever hiding place, and were initiating an attack. Acting quickly, Magnius gathered his mana in glowing red rune circles dancing beneath him on the hallway floor. "Flame Lance!" he called. A spear of flaming energy materialized from his mana and pierced the palm of the first giant robot, sending it crashing to the ground. He rolled out of its way, ending up in a feral crouching pose, axe bared.

Of the two remaining hands, one of them pulled out into the open and began firing instantly, hopping to blown the half-elf to pieces in one dangerous assault. The other remained "hidden" - holding the glocks at a vertical angle, ready to spring at a more opportune moment.

The twenty-foot high hand firing on Magnius now advanced towers the elf slowly, considering itself able to stomp on the much smaller being even if it couldn't shoot it out.
The one Magnius had defeated, meanwhile, turned into solid stone behind him.

Though the giant hand advanced slowly, Magnius wasted no time in beginning another spell. The robot hand took another choppy step towards him. Just in time, he thought with a smirk. "Watch this!" he taunted. "Eruption!"

The floor beneath the hand transformed into molten magma and ruptured, encasing it in a sphere of searing hot energy. As the lava cascaded back down tp the ground, it vanished. The robot layed there, singed and burnt to a practically unrecognizable crisp. Magnius rose to his feet, his breathing heavier than before, but a vicious grin still plastered across his face.

From behind Magnius the last hand sprung, firing two pot-shots from both glocks at the half-elf, hopping that it, somehow at twenty feet tall, had the element of surprise.

Down the hall, however, lay the control panel for the factory, the factory head sitting calmly in his chair despite the chaos around him. The head resembled nothing so much as a robin in human clothing, right down to the red chest and the beak. His arms were wings, but also had hands on them and it sat there, awaiting his visitor.

Magnius, who had in fact noticed the third hand by now, blocked the attack with his axe. He peered at the enemy over the axe's blade. Should restore some of my mana, he thought. His last few attacks had drained a good chunk of it.

Standing up, Magnius advanced toward the robot. He swung his axe in a large semi-circle, gaining power and momentum. With as much force as he could muster, the blade connected, severing the fingers. The robot hand halted, dumbfounded, before crashing to the ground. Before it could even attempt anything else, Magnius delivered another crushing blow to the palm. For good measure.

He smirked. The threat of the giant hands behind him, literally in pieces on the ground, he continued down the hallway,

Magnius eventually would come to that control panel. The robin looked up at Magnius and chipped. Then, somehow, it spoke to the half-elf "So you're here and ripping apart my lovely factory." The robin chirped and flapped a wing lazily.
"We're just trying to keep things in order for once, and keep things flat. What's so bad about that?"

Magnius shifted his weight to one foot. "The hell kinda goal is that?" he demanded. The robin brought up a valid point though: why was he going through the trouble of destroying the factory? Doing so wouldn't advance Lord Yggdrasill's plans. Yggdrasill wasn't even in the same dimension anymore.

He hadn't even thought of what he was doing, just acting on instinct. Power...of some kind, Magnius told himself. That was all the motivation he needed.

"Things flat are easy." the robin replied lightly, his voice almost sing-song. "We're keeping the Pirate King at bay, and using his power a bit here and there." The robin said, waving across the dashboard of the factory control panel.

"The boom-boom button is that red one to the side of you." the robin said, leaning back in his chair. "Then you get 2 minutes. But I'm on shift for five, so I go die-die."

"Easier for what?" Magnius growled, tightening his grip on his axe. He harumphed. "Not that it matters. It makes no difference to me whether this world is flat or round." Pausing briefly, a crooked grin spread across his face. "More importantly, what's this about whose power?"

He turned to look beside him. There was indeed a large red button nearby. He eyed it suspiciously. "And do you really think I'm enough of an idiot to believe you? That you'd tell an enemy how to blow the whole place up?"
