Koenma was a nervous wreak with an evil Spirit Detective and a missing Kurama. If this was Makai, his father would have stepped in by now and he would have gotten so many spankings....but he wasn't. The prince sighed and stirred the tea Ayame had left him as he sat on a counch in the house where he stayed with Ayame. He had left orders for Kuwabara and Hiei to report to him here when they finished their task so now he waited, tapping his fingers.
Kuwabara was the first to appear. He was a bit angered by his appearance, and his eyes darted downwards towars the ground. He was not in the mood for another yelling. Hell, he wasn't sure if he was able to tell Koenma the drastic news. The boy continued in the door and walked towards the desk, and he rubbed his temple a bit. Yes, Kuwabara was nervous with telling Koenma the news. He wondered how the baby prince would take it.
"Finally!" The prince hopped up on the table, anxious for the news. He needed something to distract himself with other then thoughts of Yusuke or Kurama off dead somewhere. "Took you long enough, will they help or not?!"
Kuwabara seemed a bit distant. He did not say anything, and there was a large pause between for a few moments, befor ethe boy could speak up from his state, "No, they said they won't help us, we're on our own," he replied dully.
The fire koorime had made his appearance as well. His ruby hues stared into the room as he walked in. He would speak with the prince, once he is done questioning the oaf. The boy crossed his arms across his chest and leaned against the wall for support. He stared off dully at the two before him.
The disappointed prince flopped in his chair with a sigh, wishing he had his father to fall back on...but he shook his head, he had to deal with this on his own and there was still that one last measure... "I am not surprised, then we must keep gathering other allies and planning how to get Yusuke back and...find Kurama," the prince trailed off, overwhelmed by feelings of guilt. If Kurama died, it would be all his fault, he should have known...
"Where the hell is Kurama?!" The boy suddenly shouted. Kuwabara had noticed that his ally was gone for a while, and no that the prince mentioned it, he was desperate to know where his friend was, "I thought you sent him and knew where he was goin! Where the hell is he?" he snapped almost instantly. He could not bear to lose another ally. More or less his friend.
Don't fret, Kurama is capable of handling himself," the fire koorime started, "if he were to die, then it would be pathetic," with that he became silent once more. Hiei had to state his thoughts, and they were stated, very clearly. He was curious as well, but he knew that the kitsune was capable of handling himself, whatever the situation.
Koenma winced but he was glad Hiei at least remained calm. "I would know if Kurama was dead but...I don't really know where he is," Koenma admitted after a moment, chewing on his pacifier. "Someone is looking for him now, so be patient...."
"Who the heck is looking for him? And do we even know this guy?" he growled, The boy had his hands clenched in fists. The orange head was getting distressed. He was not the patient type at all, and he was willing to do anything, anything at all to save his friends. Kuwabara was a boy, but his morals were larger than he was capable of.
"So you sent Kurama, and knowing that, you lost him in the process? Are you sure you are the Prince of Reikai?" the koorime questioned, faintly annoyed, since Kuwabara did not shut up with his issues, "and you sent someone, who is this person, that you speak of?" he questioned, getting off the wall and trudging slowly towards the prince. He was calm, but annoyed at the same time.
"Don't question me!" Koenma grumbled at Hiei with a glare before looking up at them both. "Since we are rather short staff, I hired someone else, I am certain of his loyalty. I am sure he will find Kurama....in time..." the prince said matter of factly, holding up one finger. But Koenma would not admit that he was still stressed about the situation.
"WHO THE HELL'S THE GUY!" Kuwabara shouted, getting really angry now. Of course, he should have remained calm, but he was still there, just losing his patience, and plus, who was this new guy that was hired? He wanted to know that as well. The boy made no move to leave the room, nor did he make any move to calm down.
Hiei merely stared at Koenma dully, "Ch'," he scoffed, before becoming silent again. The boy didn't really need to start another arguement with the prince of Reikai. The fire koorime stood his ground, and waited for Kuwabara to finish his outburst, "Exactly, how do you plan on getting the kitsune back, when you don't know where he is, and even with the new human, is he capable of doing things that the detective is capable of?" Hiei's patience was thinning, but his questions were enough to silence Koenma for a bit.
"His name is Gippal and true, his abilities are not equal to that of Yusuke but the only demon here more powerful than Yusuke is Yomi," Koenma said seriously, giving a Kuwabara a flat look. He wished he had Botan here to deal with these messes but he just sighed. "Our resources are stretched thin as it is, you and Hiei are not enough to fight Yomi and his allies. Especially not that now another past enemy has appeared. I trust you remember Suzaku," the toddler remarked.
"The one Urameshi killed! He's back! Damn, that just fucking great," the boy cursed aloud, slamming his fist against the nearby wall, and a growl emitting from his throat. Kuwabara was angry now, very angry, sinc eit was irritating enough, and now, Suzaku is back? That was more matters to add to the boy. Kuwabara then turned to Koenma, "and how the hell are we going to draft in more people, when there's barely any that can match up to Urameshi's or even my strength?!" he retorted.
"Heh, more to die," the fire koorime smirked a bit, before the stoic expression resumed on his face. He started to walk slowly away from Koenma and the annoying oaf, he did not want to listen to anymore screaming. His ears were aching thanks to the annoying human, the boy merely made another comment at Kuwabara, "You should keep your mouth shut, it suits you better," he coldly emphasized the words "suits".
Koenma winced at Kuwabara's outburst, frowning. "I am working on that, that is why I hired Gippal! And once Kurama is back, he will help with strategy. There is no reason to panic," Koenma snapped but he didn't add 'yet' but he was thinking it.
Kuwabara turned around and glared at Hiei, "HEY Shut up ya little midget! AT least I AM tryin to do somethin, you ain't helping!!!" he snapped, and turned back to Koenma. Kuwabara was a bit calmer, but he seemed angry still, "So we do nothin until Kurama gets back is that it? What about Urameshi?"
"Kurama knows the most about Yomi," Koenma admitted. "Yusuke has lost his memory so our first priority will be to somehow to restore it and get him away from Yomi," the prince said , clasping his hands. He didn't want to think about the possibilty of Kurama not returning...
Hiei only scoffed at Kuwabara and said nothing to the orange head, "If you are done, telling me this, I shall take my leave now," the boy replied, before heading away towards the door. No matter, Hiei was not going to get too involved in this anyways. He was going to sit around, and watch. Whatever happens, happens, that was all to the koorime, "if you find something useful and worth my interest, feel free to find me... if you can that is," with that said he vanished through the door, and away fromt he palce.
"Hey come back! Ineedja ta help me!" he shouted angrily. That wasn't working well, not was it? Kuwabara sighed, "So did you even think of a plan yet, Konema-sama?" he questioned, "Anything we... I can do ta help at least. I dun wanna be sitting around, while everyone else is out there, tryin to do somethin..."
Koenma sighed at Hiei, he knew without his father's authority he had little to hold over Hiei's head to get him to help with this. The prince looked back at Kuwabara with a sigh. "We need allies, even if no one is close to Yusuke's power. I know you want to save Yusuke but you can't, I don't even know where Yusuke is!" Koenma sighed.
"Then where can we find some useful punks ta help, and they gotta know how to handl youkais as well," the boy replied back frowning. He was slowly calming down much more than he had before With Hiei gone, Kuwabara was a bit uneasy as ever. He slowly breathed, before speaking again, "I know that now, but still, I can't sit around and do nothin!"
"You can help Gippal-san if you want something to do," Koenma stated but he hated to admit it, there was very little they could do without Kurama's information or even knowing where Yomi was. "And prevent Yomi from gaining more allies than he has," he added..
"Exactly, where can I find this Gippal guy?" Kuwabra raised a brow as he asked the question. Of course, he was useless right now. Kuwabara had felt like that a lot lately, but he learned to cope with it slowly. Right now, he was concerned with his friends, they were important to him as his family. The boy frowned and replied, "that guy shouldn't get anymore allies, if he does, we're all toast!"
"Pretty much. This is worse then the situation with Sensui," Koenma grumbled. He was having bad luck with Spirit Detectives lately. "Gippal is out looking for Kurama, I will tell him to contact you when he returns," he stated.
"Fine," he replied, "I'll be hangin around the hotel then Koenma-sama. And when I find that midget, I'mma beat him to a bloody pulp," Kuwabara finished before walking towards the door finally. He knew he was incapable of doing anything at the moment, but he would try his best to do something, "See ya Koenma," he mused, before leaving as well.
