Shaking slightly Tohru checked the location on her device once again and glanced around. She took a deep breath to calm herself and kept on walking.
She didn't have a clue who she was supposed to be meeting, but as far as she could see there was nobody there. Maybe she was in the wrong place? She folded her arms and debated leaving, but she wanted to get this all sorted out, so she called out; "Excuse me? Is anybody here?"
Arietta saw the young girl. This had to be her! Suddenly, the teenager jumped down from the tree and wrapped an arm around the other girl's neck. "Give me your communicator and don't say a word unless I ask you a question," the God General threatened. "You're the girl who's right Aster right?"
Tohru gasped as she felt someone grab her neck, she hadn't caught sight of whoever it was but the voice was female and unfamiliar.
"I-I'm sorry for whatever Aster has said or done, b-but I'm sure that he didn't mean it. W-why don't we try and talk this through?" She asked trying to inject some confidence into her shaking voice.
She tightened her hold on her communicator though, hoping whoever it was would forget the request to hand it over.
Ignoring the apology, Arietta demanded for the girl to hand over her communicator again. If the girl knew how, she would send some type of distress call.
"H- he did mean it! Don't play stupid with me. I'm done talking. Now is the time for action!"
Shaking slightly Tohru reluctantly held the communicator out behind her. She didn't want any touble and maybe doing so would calm the other girl down.
"P-please, there's really no need for this." She was starting to get scared now, she had no idea what the other had planned. "W-we can go back to town, I can find Aster and ask him to apologise for whatever he has done? P-please?"
Arietta took the girl's communicator and stuck it in her own pocket. Now, she was in control and everything was in her hands.
"No! I'm done talking with him! I told you to only talk when I asked you a question. I didn't ask you a question! I don't want to hurt you, but if keep going like this, I will."
The teenager kept a good grip on Tohru's neck, just in cause she thought of running away.
Tohru was starting to panic. As the girl had instructed her to do Tohru hadn't let anyone know that she was going anywhere. Nobody was coming for her.
She swallowed heavily and tried speaking again; it was the only thing she knew to try, even though she risked angering the girl. "P-please, I promise that we can just talk this through. It seems you think that Aster has done something bad, s-so why don't we talk about it? Did he hurt you?"
Was this girl stupid or wanted to be hurt? Arietta wasn't sure what was wrong with the girl, but she was starting to opt for the latter option.
"We can't talk this through. There is no talking to be done! He's done lots of things... ... shut up! Don't talk unless I tell you to!" The teenager was becoming frustrated, so her grip on the other girl tightened automatically.
"Ow...s-sorry." Tohru mumbled, then bit her lip. She didn't dare try and overpower the girl physically, whoever this was seemed to know exactly what they were doing and seemed very serious.
Tohru tried to stop herself shaking and nodded to show that she understood not to talk out of line.
Tohru nodded, not feeling any better until the grip loosened a bit. Realising that she could talk Tohru picked her words carefully, this was still a bitter subject for her and she tried to steady her voice.
"Hm. He thinks he's your boyfriend or something," Arietta said, letting information out that wasn't hers to give. "You should probably stop being so nice to him. He's getting the wrong idea."
The teenager wasn't one to give out advice, but for some reason, she did. Arietta admitted she had been acting strange since she arrived in his world.
"Sit down and still face away from me." The girl eyes the rope hanging off the branch near by she had set up earlier.
Tohru nodded and slowly sat down, crossing her legs and folding her arms to try and stop shivering. her gaze was fixed on the ground, and she was itching to turn her head and catch a glimpse of her captor.
"Thank you, I...I know how he felt. But I think he knows that we're just friends."
Letting go of Tohru completely, Arietta scaled the tree. She let go of the rope and let it dangle in front of the girl. "Put your hands through that and tighten it. I told you my intention was not to hurt you."
Arietta sighed. Somehow, she felt herself regretting this. All of this she wanted to set up was an illusion. She wasn't going to hurt the young girl, but make Aster believe someone important had been taken away from him, just how she had always experienced.
"Hmn..." Her covered legs dangled over the side of the branch. It wasn't far up and Tohru was right under her. If the girl did one wrong move, Arietta could simply stop her and make her regret it.
Tohru knew it was a bad idea, and that this would leave her completely defenceless. She scanned the area and tried to work out if she'd be able to outrun the girl using the element of surprise.
After a few seconds deliberation she sighed and decided to trust her. Tohru slipped her hands through the rope and tightened it, though not as far as it would go. Maybe the girl wouldn't notice.
"Don't think about running away. I could use an arte to stop you. And... I told you can tighten it more than that. Unless... you want me to do it," Arietta said in a tone of power. She said this, kicking her feet back and forth, almost playful.
Arietta wouldn't let the girl know that she could sense her emotions. It had all been through living with her ligers and birds for so long. She knew how the human psyche and their emotions worked.
"Once you stop being so scared, I need you to do something."
