It was nighttime as 'Gure walked into the hotel. Aaya and Hari probably wouldn't want him outside, especially considering the last two nights he had gone out he had attempted suicide. However, what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them. There was certainly no reason for them to know he was out now. If they were worried, they could always contact his communicator. Not that he would necessarily pick up.
'Gure had never been to a hotel before. His parents had never taken him anywhere. Specifically, they had never allowed him to leave the main house except for academic reasons. He had read about hotels in books, of course. This one somewhat resembled one of the seedier motels he had read of. It looked as if many people had passed through and no one had cleaned up. Rather dreadful, really. It lent a rather discordant note to the perfection of the black night.
The slight black-haired child sat down on a faded couch and waited. Jade should arrive soon. The man struck him as the punctual type.
