Ayame and Shigure Only

Ayame slowly walked up to the cafe, opening the door slightly, it was empty. Maybe people did not really know of this place, or maybe shigure had cleared it out. Ayame was somewhat scared really, not sure how this would turn out, and really scared to lose his friendship with shigure. "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea... Ayame you fool..." He mumbled to himself as he opened the cafe's door. he put on a light smile.

"Hello there 'gure. How are you?" He asked in a very chit chat and loving way.

Lounging back against the booth seat, Shigure looked up at Ayame's entrance. He smiled warmly.
"Aya. I'm fine. Have a seat."

"Sure thing~!" He said with a smile as he took a seat and got himself comfortable. Ayame had a tendancy to avoid subjects alot of the time, it was one of those moments.

"Everyone seems to like my clothing Shigure~! You should see some of thier faces! They seem so happy! I am working on a design for our dear tohru's dress. Oh it will be absolutely gorgeous on her 'gure~!"

Shigure smiled at Aya. Placing his arm on the back of the booth, he leaned his head against his hand. Aya was nervous. That much was obvious. The Snake was extremely easy to read. Now he was hiding something, trying to distract him. Shigure gave an inward sigh. This only supported his growing belief...

"Congratulations, Aya. You seem to be doing quite well." Shigure leaned forward and took a small mint from the tray on the table. He looked at Aya. "Is that what you wanted to tell me?"

"Not really 'gure... It's far more personal than that..." He sighed as he looked away a moment. trying to collect his thoughts.

"I think you already have a growing suspicion on what I am going to talk to you about ne?"

"I didn't think so." Shigure smiled encouragingly at Aya and sat back against the booth seat, relaxing in the soft leather. "And what might that be?"

He wasn't going to say it for him. If Aya wanted to tell him, he would have to do it himself.

"You can never make this easy on me can you 'gure?" He sighed. Gathering his courage.

"I love you gure..." was all he could manage out for now. He half expected shigure to start joking around again, in a way, he wanted that, so he wouldn't have to face this, in another way, he wanted to hear what his loves real reaction was.

Shigure sighed inwardly. He had been expecting this for some time now. Ayame had always seemed a little too into their games. He felt felt sorry for his cousin. He knew how much this must be hurting him.

"I know."

"I'm that readable huh?" It was sych a basic responce from him. He had hoped for something more. But he knew Shigure didn't love him, so maybe he wasn't to get anything more. He took a large breath to calm himself down some.

"Then what is going on through you head 'gure...?" He asked calmly, well, as calmly as possible. Oh he knew that, Akito, Shigure loved akito, but still, he had to ask. This seemed so hopeless... so why did he want to go through with this? oh, thats right... maybe he had thought there was some hope, some small chance since akito was not there.

( ooc: at least... the mun hasn't posted anything at all so...)

Shigure sighed inwardly. It was obvious that Aya was hoping for something. Ayame, despite their outwardly affections, had never been as close to him as Hatori. He had never told Aya things that he had told Hari; one of them being that there was no room in his heart for love. He was the most cursed of them all; willing to do anything to get what he wanted. The only person he really cared for was Akito.

"I can't love you, Aya."

[ooc: eh...*clings to canon like a dying man* canon! (i worship canon, if it isn't already obvious...>>)]

Ayame stayed silent for a bit, not looking at shigure. What should he do, and how should he respond? He wanted to cry, but that was a little childish of him right? He had never been as close to shigure ad hatori had, and even less than akito had. Same way with hatori, yet he had done his best to make them as close to him as possible.

"I know 'gure, I know...Can't blame me for hoping that just maybe I was lucky enough to have love...But I guess I am not in Akito's good graces." He mumbles out. He wanted to run, but he couldn't find the will to move either.

Shigure sighed. He didn't want to hurt Aya. He cared for Aya, even if it was less than himself...Aya was one of the people closest to him, after Akito and Hatori. He reached over and took Ayame's face in his hand.

"Ayame. Don't be sad. You will find love eventually..." Shigure's eyes flickered for a moment, showing his true self. "I'm not kind enough to give it to you." He paused. "And what does Akito have to do with this?"

He let his eyes water up. "He's supposidly our god right? Of the juuinshi? God has never quite been on my side it seems." He sighed and placed a small kiss to shigures hand.

"I'm sorry to have burdened you with this 'Gure..."

If Aya didn't know about his relationship with Akito, he wasn't going to tell him. Shigure smiled at Ayame, leaned over, and kissed him on the mouth.

Ayame was suprised at first. He pressed in a bit to kiss him shigure, pouring his feelings in before pulling away. Of course, he wanted to kiss shigure, but the image of Akito flashed in his mind. Despite the fact he loved shigure, he did have some sort of respect for the power Akito held over all of them.

"Akito would not be happy knowing his beloved is kissing someone else." He reminded shigure. It had taken all the will he had to pull away from Shigure.

"I love you 'Gure... But I don't want to have you taken away from me completely because I indulged in a simple kiss." He then looked up to shigure.

"We can still be friend if anything... right?" Ayame had an air of insecurity about him as he looked down nervously. Maybe, maybe they had never really actually became as close as he had thought. They had never really shown eachother thier true selves before had they?

Shigure blinked. "Why do you think I'm Akito's beloved?" Aaya had been "doing his own thing" for much of the years Shigure had been playing with Akito. The girl was volatile; after all, the reason he was living in that damned house "outside" was because of her temper...but had it been that obvious? He knew for certain that Ritsu on down had no idea; Kureno did, of course, as did Hari. But did Aaya?

"Of course we can still be friends." Why was the Snake so nervous? He had no intention of abandoning him, if that was what he was afraid of; though certainly, he was never going to show him his true self. Not for a long time. At least not until after the Curse was broken. Then it wouldn't matter anymore. Now it was best that he play the perverted fool until his plans had been completed.
