So I've actually come up with another plot idea, though I'm not sure if it's been done before.
Once again the plot would take place by food or something else that would allow your character to choose to participate.
For sake of example we'll go with cupcakes (cause everyone likes cupcakes).
Anyways so basically the plot is that your character gets turned into an animal but is left with all their normal thoughts and feelings. Depending on the cupcake they eat that's the animal they turn into, plus your characters age decides if the animal is a baby or adult.
The transformations:
Red frosting cupcake = Fox/kit transformation
Orange frosting cupcake = Non-predatory bird/chick transformation
Yellow frosting cupcake = Rabbit/bunny transformation
Green frosting cupcake = Non-poisonous snake/snakelet transformation
Blue frosting cupcake = Dog/puppy transformation
Purple frosting cupcake = Cat/kitten transformation
White frosting cupcake = Sheep/lamb transformation
You get to choose your breed, so if you want to choose dog it can be anything from a Mastiff to Poodle, you also get to choose the coloring of the transformation so long as it isn't unnatural for the species (so no making your rabbit's bright pink).
The transformation is 1 cupcake = 2 weeks, and starts the day after they eat the cupcake.
If your character eats one cupcake of one color and then a different color, the first color transformation will occur and then after two weeks the second color transformation will occur. So on and so on.
Also NO, you're char cannot talk even if they have magical powers. The fun is having your char try and communicate.
So yeah ^^ that's my idea.
