From the Caringbridge site.
Sunday Mar 9 from 1 to 6 PM at the Radisson Roseville on Cleveland will be Bob's wake. Wear colors. Extravagant dress appreciated. As you know Bob loved his Hawaiian shirts, so feel free to wear one or a ribbon or scarf of wonderful bright colors. If you wish bring an instrument to play, or a CD with a song you like. There will be a formal time and then an open mike for all who wish to talk of Bob memories or their feelings or how Bob affected their lives by his example -you get the idea. Bring an umbrella and there will be an umbrella parade or two. There will be a cash bar and a few munchies. Feel free to bring in pictures. This is a time to share.
This wake was Bob's wish so his family and friends could gather to share their grief and sorrow and say goodbye. He wanted his life celebrated. His community to talk about him and his accomplishments and his creativity and his caring and his choice to take the hard road and everyday work on recovery and happiness. Bob had a firm belief that you live the cards dealt to you. It is your choice to wallow, and berrate your fate or you choose life... Bob choose life and he found humor and gladness and was thankful everyday for all of lifes' small gifts.
I believe the Radisson is offering us $109 for a double room and $129 for a king room . Just let them know you are attending the Sun event for the Aiken party. There is a Hotel 6 real close, like across the lot and another hotel. I am waiting for more info on the hotels.
