Nobody I'd Rather Be
I have discovered an area in which the Bulgarian educational system is far and away superior to that of the U.S.
Yesterday, a representative from the Red Cross came in to give a talk on HIV/AIDS. From what I could understand, it was informative, didn't beat about the bush in terms of risk, and didn't pass judgment on anyone, one way or another. She also talked about the importance of condom usage, up to (and including) a demonstration of how to put one on, with commentary on why proper technique is important.
She then handed out condoms to every member of the class (including me, amusingly enough).
God, I wish shit like this were the norm in American schools.
