(no subject)
2007. Now that was a year. Specifically, a year that f*cking sucked. Which is odd, since a lot of good stuff, or stuff that should've been good happened, but somehow it was either never enough, or there was always some sting in the tail.
It ended pretty much the same way - I went to a new years show with Sílvia, but had to struggle to enjoy it past the excruciating pain of a trapped nerve in my hip and my mildly buggered hand. As well as that Sílvia got sick on the last day of the year, pretty much screwing a lot of our plans for new years day itself. Annoying.
Still. The pain was mostly gone when the year turned, and hasn't come back as badly yet. Unlike last year, at least this one took more than an hour before someone elses f*ckup caused us a major problem. (parents are annoying, which meant we had to spend better part of half an hour waiting at Lisbon airport. Which was weirdly serene, and not all that unpleasant after the initial stress of trying to get home through total gridlock and the 1am shutdown of the underground service.
One thing I am curious about, have any of you had an actually good 2007?
