Harry Potter tribute
Anyone been to see the latest, and final, Harry Potter movie yet? Any thoughts?
I hadn't been to see a Harry Potter movie in theatres since the 1st one. I had even stopped watching the movies after the 2nd one, until some time after the 5th movie came out, because they simply didn't compare to the books. But, since this was the last chance to see any HP in theatres, I went to see both Deathly Hallows movies on Monday (they had a rerun of all previous parts here, and I could still catch Deathly Hallows pt.1 right before I went to see part2). So yeah, I spent over 4 hours in a dark room on the sunniest day we've had all week. Because I can ^^
I changed my opinion about the movies somewhere during my catch-up marathon after movie 5 (they get better as they get darker and the kids get older), and this one definitely didn't disappoint. Well, if you like Harry Potter at least. It looked good, the screenplay was good (definitely worth it to make 2 movies out of the one book, because they'd have lost so much otherwise, even though it's not the thickest book in the series), and Snape got plenty of closure time. So glad they didn't rush all that (although the memories were lacking several key scenes... I wouldn't have minded seeing more of that!) I totally didn't cry, cos crying is for wussies. I just happened to have a cold and something in my eye at the same time. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
At least it gives me a chance to use my Snape Potterpuff icon again :(
Anyhoo, onwards to business at hand. I'm not THAT much of a HP nutter that I'd spam you guys with tons of Photoshopped junk for no particular reason, last movie or not. There was another challenge over @ landofart, which included the most graphics for one challenge so far. So beware: what lurks behind the following lj cut is not dial-up friendly!

(Hermione & Ron about to duel in the Room of Requirement.) Way too much time went into the picking of the base pics for this. I should stick to promo pics or whatever google turns up next time :P
