Wow, it's been a while since my last update. But I guess it's been kinda' busy around here, between playing Dr. Mom/cheufer for both the sick and crippled. :-P But I still love you guys!!! After all, you're worth it. (heart heart)
Nonetheless, the weekend (and week thus far) has been quite promising. It's had its good moments.
1. Kira & I got really caught-up on homework, so now I don't have to worry about it the rest of the week.
2. Lots of "bonding with Shane time," (probably at the expense of my roomies) --but hey! I got a compliment today! Kira's like, "when are you going to record 'Kira Plays the Oboe'?" Who knows--maybe we'll even produce an album one day! teehee Last night's newest addition included, "Rice'a'roni, The San Francisco treat," which consisted all of 5 words, characterized in the style of Broadway and jazz. *grins*
3. Been practicing every day. Dr. Oakes is really pleased with our progress. I even stole an "A" clarinet from Corey, who I feel like has just now accepted us. 'Cause he's definitely acted a lot nicer, and he shares really interesting stories about drunken Greg in Rome! :-P
4. The opera went really well. To tell the truth, I think my mom's caught onto the whole "free" concept. She'll be ushering La Traviata in Jackson this week.
5. Last night was the first time in months that the ...4 of us roommies have sat down to have a quiet evening & homecooked meal. So that was spiff!
6. I'm really excited about Facebook's latest photo album feature. So far I've been tagged 17 times. w00t!
7. Joe's been staying over a lot lately. And despite him being sick, I've really enjoyed his company this past week.
Finally, Brandy & I are about to leave for Birmingham. We'll be joining the dark side. Yes, the Orff Nazi's! *gasp!!!* Much fun to be had with even bigger nerds than ourselves! Yes, there are different levels of nerds. As I was telling some buddies last night: there are 1) engineering geeks, 2) "band majors," :-P and 3)Orff Nazis. Wish us luck!!!
