Dudes and Dudettes. Go to your local polling place on Tuesday March 2 and Vote Yes for the School Bond. It won't raise your taxes and it pays for like, everything the school needs. State Dept of Ed gives us money we call the General Fund. It's like 75 cents a student for library books. Puke. I can't even keep up with Harry Potter on that measly little wage. And they don't fund computers, etc. BOND money is what makes the school function. It provides about $22 per student for library books. Then I can eek out some Harry Potters, Twilights, New Moons and other assorted age-appropriate literature for my little ones. And it's not just for libraries. A large portion is for building maintenance and repairs and practically everything else, like paper. There's a whole bunch more about it on the TPS web site. If you would like an educated public school force rather than an uneducated one, vote yes. Seriously. So Dude, don't forget to VOTE Yes on March 2. It's also READ across AMERICA day so dust off your Dr. Seuss and Celebrate Reading after you vote for the BOND.
