Carolina Shout On Crack
To repeat myself, seems like forever I updated. Over the weekend, I got my laptop to get Internet. Well, its still dial-up. To me, its kind of like putting training wheels on a sweet dirt bike. I WANT to tear ass all over teh Internetz but I'm being held back by a modem. SIGH. It's fine, I guess. I'll live :P
Because of the concert Mrs. Buffet was having on Monday (no, I don't expect you to know what I mean, just nod politely :D) of a guy called Jack Gibbons, me and Mom went to Ross to get me a dress or at least something dressy. I got this really pretty black velvet dress that I'll probably never wear again, LOL. I spent all Sunday worrying to death about what day and what time this concert was going to be. I left a voicemail on Mrs. Spiak's cellphone and I was waiting all day for her to call me back. And THEN on Monday, Mrs. Chavez, who is now my new mentor I guess 'cuz Mrs. Spiak is busy, told me it was THAT day at 4...BWUHUH? Literally. I told her, y'know, I have rehearsals for "Macbeth" too, so...what do I know, plus my outfit was at home. I called Mom afterschool and told her and she was like "...crap." but she brought my outfit and I changed in the bathroom. Plus a bunch of people told me I looked pretty, so yeah. It kind of worked out. As for the concert itself, to be honest, I didn't think it'd be that good. He was playing songs but George Gershwin and some other people. Listening to it, you don't really think Gershwin is really complicated but it actually IS. His hands were moving really quickly, doing all these complicated little things on the piano. Color ME impressed.
Sooo, today I have a bit of a stomach ache because at rehearsal Jackie bought us snacks and the Coke made my REAL gassy DX
Plus I'm reading "Watership Down". It's really good, considering deep down, I love furries. Hah, not THAT deep down. ;D
P.S. Y'know what would be awesome to have, for me at least? A purse with Ganesha on it. :)
