Meme since I'm waiting for the laundry to finish

Thanks mlerules !

1. Make a list of 5 things that you can see without getting up.
1--A wonderful picture of Marilyn Monroe with the caption "Remember when curves were sexy?"  I still think they are.
2--Larry the Llama
3--my ironing board covered in material for my costumes
4--a vase full of pearls
5--My favorite quote EVER, which is an excerpt from the introduction to the 1855 edition of Leaves of Grass.  Whitman rocks my world.

2. How do you style your hair?
Depends.  If I'm lazy, I just let it be its wavy self.  Sometimes I straighten it.  Lately I've been experimenting with hot rollers.

3. What are you wearing now?
My fave black yoga pants, a new fuchsia work out top, sports bra and granny panties (they stay UP when I Zumba, dammit)

4. What's your occupation?
Selling stuff mostly to Costco and Amazon.  I stay in the office and make sure that it actually happens the way the salesmen promise it will.  I keep sanity flowing (most of the time).  I swear at computers and often fix them.  I swear at salesmen and often fix them.  It's a job.  And technically I only work 30 hours a week, though that hasn't really happened yet.

5. What do you hear right now?
Humming laptop and that's about it.  The boys are in bed and Jim is studying.

6. What's your favourite guilty pleasure treat?
I rarely get guilty about treating myself, but among my faves are GOOD vegan cupcakes, Jelly Bellies and homemade rice krispie treats (with real butter, please).

7. What is/was for dinner?
One small slice of thin crust cheese pizza, an apple, an orange, a handful of almonds and some grapefruit juice mixed liberally with water.

8. What did you do today?
Worked, though I didn't accomplish anything other than putting out fires.  I picked up the boys and went to the Y, where my Zumba instructors proceeded to try to kill me in an 85 degree room.  I drank water.  I drank more water.  I came home, cooked pizzas and then spent the evening staring at the computer.  I did laundry.  Shortly I'm going to shower and study.

9. Dog person or cat person?
Both, though primarily a cat person.  I am allergic to dogs and the Geek is even MORE allergic to dogs, so no canines at home for us.  However, I have a great office dog named Boone.  I loves him muchly.

10. If you had to change your name, what would you change it to?
I've always liked my name, though I did consider Sophia, Margarite, Eleanor and Lily when I was preggo.

11. What was the last thing that you bought?
New jammies and a Lego Star Wars shirt for the youngest along with some lacy undies and a set of cute jammies for myself.

12. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully finishing grad school and looking for a teaching job.  Oh, and living right here because I can't imagine living anywhere else.

13. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I'd love to go back to Scotland, plus add in some of the places I lived when I was young, like Germany and Belgium.  Further afield, I would like to go to the Virgin Islands and Bermuda because my Dad was so fond of them.  I do NOT wish to return to Florida.

14. Favourite book?
Um, the one with words?  I like a lot of different books.  I can't stand sappy fiction (or sappy non-fiction for that matter) nor do I prefer most horror, though for some reason I love Poppy Z. Brite.

15. What are you doing this weekend?
Ferrying the eldest boy hither and yon, celebrating 21 years with the Geek and then having a rehearsal followed by shopping on Sunday.

16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?
Piano.  I always wanted to learn but we couldn't afford one when I was young, nor did we have room in the house.  I really would like to be able to play while I sing.

17. How are you?
Pretty good all things considered.  I continue to work on the internal me and I'm having a blast with SMF this year.

18. What is your favorite place to go on vacation?
Anywhere that someone else cooks, cleans and organizes.

19. What are you looking forward to the most?
There's no one thing...I'm looking forward to having a job where I feel like I make a real difference.  I'm looking forward to continuing my work with the ATC and with SMF in particular.  I'm looking forward to watching my kids grow and become.  I'm looking forward to being a better me.  And now, I'm looking forward to a shower and studying some before sleep because now the laundry is ready to go in the dryer.
