Take it from a girl who did the big G...it's all worth it to hold that stupid 15,000 dollar piece of paper in your hand. It gives you a sense of accomplishment you can't believe...of course then you get this weird feeling like, all that work for a stupid piece of paper? But for that fleeting moment when you're opening the envelope some two months after you graduate, you'll get that moment of clarity.
As for getting a job so you won't be broke, my theory is, get a job that ENHANCES your social life, rather than hinders it. (ie. if you work out a lot, get a job at a fitness place (free gym membership) or if you like renting movies, Blockbuster is great (free movies), especially since they are open late, and will work around school.
And as far as relaxing goes, grab some friends at night, and go up on the levy. No, seriously you have to bring friends with you because there's safety in numbers...Once on the levy, have everyone lay down and look at the stars. Not only is star-gazing relaxing as hell, but it's FREE. It's also mind boggling, makes you feel really small, and the trips there and back are always comedy. Plus you'd be surprised at how much you learn about the people you're with. Once my best friend...well, maybe I shouldn't tell you that one...(=
