The math gods have answered my prayers!
So I have finally done it. I have done my first proof entirely on my own, understood what I did, and IT's RIGHT!
Here is what I proved:
A, B, C, D are sets. The intersection of A cross B and C cross D equals the intersection of A and C cross the intersection B and D.
YES!! and I was even able to write it out in words, it took me like 7 minutes to write it when I figured out there aren't the right symbols on the keyboard.
The proof would take forever to write out without using symbols, but you pretty much assume one side and prove it equals the other...then assume the other side and prove that it equals the other and therefore the two sides are equivalent statements. Seems easy BUT ITS NOT!...well for me anyways, I have been working all semester on these gosh darned things and finally figured it it out by myself!
And this is pretty much the type of stuff I will be doing for the rest of my time in college...but they are just going to get harder..please save me.
Now I just need to finish my homework for my other math class.
