Update! Not dead, awol or otherwise incapacitated.
Distracted though? yes. The ongoing home-improvements dramatics continue to be hampered by the Kitchen ceiling/Plasterer From Hell issues; My Sister is mid way through a first time buy that is, predictably, Not Going Well; Pig flu is making more people panic than actually sick, including the colective might of the NHS, which makes work alternately highly amusing and utterly frustrating on top of an unusually busy summer (plus side = lots of bank shifts to fund the various ongoing projects); and a week spent babysitting an unwell grandparent has resulted in a new addiction to crochet (it was either that or pay attention to the TV soap fest, which...no.)
TV watching is being done, albeit slower that usual (which is probably still faster/more than your average Joe). I'm still very much in love with Eureka & Leverage, and Burn Notice has been particularly good of late.
Ronon thinks that me siting down automatically means he should also be sitting - on me. Like now. And there should be fussing, or at least playing. His new favourite game is chasing the wool i'm currently using to crochet with (he accepts no subsitiutes - it has to be be the one i'm using since that's the one that's moving.) Keyboards have always been fair game though - especially since he's gotten big enough that he can pretty much block the whole thing with strategic lounging. Failing that, he sits in front of the monitor and flicks pens at me.
Jinto is sulking a little since with ceiling drama's restricting internal efforts I have turned my attention to the garden and we are re-turfing so we can have an actual lawn. But that means the grass that was there (which had gotten very, very long and was his favourite playground) is all gone. He is showing his displeasure by being about 3 times more active and demanding than usual - I have never ever known him so vocal as he is right now. He sits by that back door and mopes, which I ignore, so then he comes and finds me, yells like the house is on fire until I follow him outside, and pointedly sits on the low wall by the missing grass patch: it's hilarious.
