This too shall pass!
A new game I like to play at night is 'heart attack or hot flush' especially with the neck and jaw pain that wakes me with waves of cramps at times throughout the small hours. As does the cat, and my bladder... but mostly last night it was all shoulders and upwards.
There are so many overlapping symptoms between perimenopause, fibro/m.e, parathyroid disorder and potential death it is really hard to pinpoint what's actually occurring so i tend to lie awake telling myself 'this too shall pass' and going through the Archers family tree in my head if i really can't shut my brain up enough to drift off again. Hey ho.
Last night I suspect the increase in pain was more due to the sitting in the car for six hours to visit my Grandpa and the subsequent flare in osteoarthritis, which was expected.
Thankyou to my marvellous sister who drove all the way and back today so mum, dad, herself and I could visit Grandpa. It's a long drive, 3 hours each way but absolutely worth it to see Grandpa, who is now 99.
Raggedy Ann came along with Aunt Sally for the visit. Grandpa, as a lay pastor, did a dedication service for her when I was 18 months old and she was new... probably to distract me from the new arrival of my middle sister. Either way, time flies and she's in as good repair as any of us!!
So today the plan is rest and recuperate and at least an hour in The Afterlife with GQT on the radio.
My Lush remedy package thankfully arrived yesterday so I will be soaking in beetlejuice themed bath bomb joy later and doing little else.
