Todays protest went great! A couple hundred counter protesters showed up, and ran the 5 bigots out of town in no time. They lasted only about 20 min!
It was so great to see the whole town come together like that. What really made me happy was how many teenagers showed up! It really gave me a lot of hope for the future, that they care that much. When I was in High School I don't think anyone would have cared. At least not that many. But then again, there wasn't really this kind of thing going on either.
My favorite part of the whole thing was seeing James's usually very reserved dad just screaming at the top of his lungs at them.
James and our friend Holly both got interviewed by channel 7, and their clips were shown on the news. Great job, guys!
...because seriously, you don't pull shit like that in a county where at least 60% of the people are military, or have ties to the military.
