Robert Gibbs said the Democrats might actually lose Majority status.
How miserably incompetent can you guys possibly be? I mean, seriously, have you looked at the Republicans? They barely have enough self-control not to start openly disemboweling babies on the House floor!
Seriously, how could you possibly lose clout in favor of gibbering slack-jawed yokels whose basic basic tenets fall in at least one of these Venn spheres: "Against anything the Democrats want," "Whatever will get shit-dumb rednecks to vote for us in mindless droves," and "The worst possible human rights abuses we can possibly get away with"?
I'm not holding the Gulf spill against you. Or being slow to move on things like Gitmo or healthcare or gay marriage. I've been patient with you, certain that eventually you'll, you know, put on some Big Administration Pants and get it done (not to mention getting pissed off by people blaming you for stuff that's seriously out of your control).
But if you manage to lose the Majority, I may just have to make the trip up to personally slap every Democrat I see.
