Teardrop
He felt a teardrop run down his neck. Holding tightly the Doctor sobbed. The Master wanted to push him away, let him cry cold and alone. The familiar touch of the unfamiliar body leaned against him. He couldn't bring himself to let go.
He stroked the Doctor's hair. His mind drifted. For a minute, he could pretend. This was his Theta, who loved him, who had never left. But the minute wouldn't hold. So many years stood between them.
When the Doctor stopped crying, the Master released him. He wordlessly turned and left the room, leaving them both alone again.
