Old is good
I've had a most lovely, gentle birthday.
I started the day with a phone call from my folks, then was surprised with bagels, cream cheese and smoked salmon for brekkie. How nice is that?
Then: big long run along the canal before it started to rain. Made fruit scones for tea party and made incarnate the experimental filo pie with smoked tofu and spinach.
Tea party was excellent, pie was grand and I had much too much cake (as forecast)
Then... first drumming practice of the season during which I was barraged by hugs, afterward brought beer and lastly made to go eat curry with flatmates.
Bloody great!
Its hard to overstate how much I appreciate my flatmates(all 5 of them!)right now. This has been a difficult time for me and everyday they treat me with so much love, care and respect. Sweet, sweet buggers all!
Now I'm knackered, but I am filled with the good and thats the shit that matters :)
