Big sticks
Today was the Beltane open meeting. Lots of excellent plans afoot for the twentieth anniversary and some great ideas about greening the festival and crowd control that made me very happy. Looks like I'll be drumming again this year (yeah, I'm predictable... :)Andy's leading musically -which is very lovely, and Demian will be taking care of ritual stuff which is very exciting - its been a bit neglected as of late so it'll be good to get that kind of cohesion and trance awareness.
Aside from that the meeting was very exciting and I was, as usual bouncing all over the place like an overstimulated puppy. I know its a big organizational meeting with lots of important stuff, but its also an excellent excuse to get lots of hugs and see what colour everyones hair is.
Speaking of which, aside from the matter of the chin, Newton and I are definitely the same person. The hat, the height, the width and now the hair colour. Its kinda scary.

Its my birthday next week!
I think I'm going to buy myself a dwarf lemon tree to celebrate. I have a huge terracotta pot in my room that would hold a wee bush perfectly. I like the idea of a birthday tree :)
I'm going to be 29, which is getting rather close to 30. I would be morose about leaving my twenties, but its not such a bad thing I reckon. Turning twenty was strange, ten years on almost, being old is actually quite nice - as one of my exes used to say -the closer you are to thirty, the further you are from eighteen. Oh the irony...
