It's raining, but not men, which is a good thing, they would clog the gutters. We've had at least over 30ml of rain rain in the past 24 hours, Lockyer creek at Gatton which has been dry most of my five years up here has a little water in it and the dam has crept back up again.
I had my first day back at Uni today, Biometrics again, this time I'm a bit calmer and I'm confident of my ability to do 3/4 of the course, the rest will come later.
I decided to try and grow a lot of one or two vegetables this season, probably peas for drying or freezing. Any way as usual things quickly snowball, to plant more I need more garden, to create more garden I need a fence. And rather than sensibly buying chicken wire I decide to weave a wattle fence. This time I made sure to leave enough room for wheelbarrow to fit through the gate.
Meanwhile A friends Dad offered us a couple of tonnes of Toowoomba red soil which he had left over after having a below ground water tank put in. Good stuff that soil and definitely worth getting, at least now I've spent hours loading and unloading eight trailers of it that's how I feel. Along the way I wasn't quite so sure.
Not much else happening domestic bliss abounds, the grass is growing the birds are singing and the possums have stayed home tonight because if the rain.
