1. What advice would you give to anyone who got lost in the bush?
I think the first piece of advice would be to wear a bag over your head when you get back to the SES field HQ so that you don't appear on TV or in the local papers. If you don't you will have random shopkeepers mentioning your lostness for years to come.
Secondly don't bother trying to give them the right personal details, they wont use them, apparently I'm a Brisbane university student, I have a girlfriend ( who isn't Kellianne ) and I was collecting plants.
Really though I would say as soon as you feel your getting lost stop, before you even think about working out where you are have a drink of water and something to eat. Then work out if your'e lost, then think about how much water and food you have. If you aren't 100%ish sure that you know where you are and that you can find your way to where you want to be stay put. Only move if you need to find water or a spot where you can be easily seen.
Oh and always have a book to read, it doesn't have to be good just something to help take your mind off being lost.
2. What do you miss most about Sydney?
Definitely the people, but also the ease with which I could meet up with people, It's a minimum 1/2 hour drive to see any of my friends up here, I miss being able to hop on a train and meet up with people.
I also miss multiculturalism, it's not so bad at home but the local area is fairly White Anglo-Queenslandish, I get very excited when I hear people speaking another language, it makes me feel a little homesick!
3. Who would win in a fight.. George Jetson or Fred Flintstone?
Neither it would be a double elimination and would probably result in serious injury or death for both participants. What would be interesting is seeing a fight between Astro and Dino, Astro has the intelligence but with Dinos reach ( long neck) who knows what would happen?
4. What is your favourite band?
Very tricky question, hmmm, okay, My life-time favourites are, The Beatles, U2, Bush, The Tea Party and Midnight oil. Current favourites are The Howling bells and The John Butler trio both of whom are absolutely awesome in concert. I could probably come up with more as well.
5. What is a skill you'd really love to learn (but haven't yet)?
Hmmm. To read music and to be able to play it really well. There are other skills but my minds just gone blank.
