1st day working since Oct. ... .........

So I started a job on Saturday, foodrunning. The job I wanted- at this sushi bar on the southside- except I am foodrunning and not serving, which is basically a server assistant. I think, Ok, foodrunning will not be that bad because this is an upscale place; the servers will make a lot of money and I will get tipped out accordingly. I think that this place is perfect for me and vice versa. The people, the atmosphere, the location. And lo and behold, it truly is not bad, although i worked my ass off and started training/working on the busiest night in a long while. I figure my work will be appreciated, if not expected, in this sort of place. So I figure it's all good, you know?

Except for the fact that I walked with 18 fucking dollars. 18 FUCKING DOLLARS, while the servers, I'm sure, walked with atleast $80 a piece. $5 from 2 servers, $9 from one, and FUCKING THREE DOLLARS from another. So this job is not so perfect. I am not so desperate to make friends that I have to be the office bitch.

So I guess this is what happens: The FOH manager is supposed to call me on Wed to discuss when I will be available to train for server... and I am going to snitch (yes, that is right) and I will tell her that these motherfuckers didnt even tip me out 10 fucking percent, when I worked my ass off and was complimented all night by the staff... including the servers themselves! I'm going to tell her exactly why she cant keep a foodrunner for more than 1 shift. Who knows?; maybe she doesnt. I am also going to suggest that instead of employing a foodrunner for 1 night a week, she make the wait staff rotate each saturday, so that they know what it is like to walk with less than $20 dollars.

Yes, I am a newbie. But I will not be treated like that. And I am ANYTHING BUT a poor tipper. Hmm.. I wonder why karma is doing this to me?

Maybe so I can tell them off.
