beyond the pale, out there, amongst the savages...
It's a real shame when the public school sends home a chocolates catalog and asks our children to go around shilling for the chocolate companies. I thought this town paid some of the highest local taxes around. Not to mention state and federal... Shouldn't the county or somebody have plenty of cash for the education of the younger generation? Why am I being asked to take this catalog to work with me and ask my co-workers, who are also struggling to keep up with this awful economy of too much work for not as much benefit as before and all for less and less and now the Wall has come tumbling, tumbling down. Wanna buy some overpriced chocolates for my kid's school? I can't. I won't. It's too humiliating and absurd.
