I HATE the fact that I work my tail off to pay for tuition to go to school, and the guy next to me goes for free on a "minority" scholarship, says stupid, mind-numbing things in class, and will inevitably fail out at the end of this quarter.
You want EQUAL opportunity! Scholarships should be like credit scores, based on a person's history of merit and responsibility. NOT based on race, religion, sexual preference, or gender. Equal means equal, not special!!!!
Question: Does a clock pendulum swing to the LEFT and then stop in the middle? NO! If then swings to the RIGHT. Inequality happened in the past, to everyone at some point. And today's inequalities CANNOT justify or correct those of the past. They just create an opposite, but very apparent problem.
I HATE it when people call me self-centered because at that point in time I'm focusing on my own problems instead of them.
I HATE it when people blame their own financial irresponsibility on "the government" or "the economy".
I HATE HATE HATE it when I hear someone say "Tax the Rich!" Clue bird! THE RICH DON'T PAY TAXES. The rich pay accountants to find the loopholes in tax laws. The rich influence the politicians (and some ARE the politicians) who draft and pass the tax laws filled with loopholes. But Wait! You can know and do what the rich do by going to the library and ACTUALLY READ UP ON TAX LAW and the like. OMG, what a concept! If you tax the rich, and the rich don't pay taxes, then the tax law effects the middle and lower classes. HELLOOO!!!
I HATE it when people think it wrong to be held accountable for their actions. WORSE, I HATE it when their own friends CONDONE those actions! Be a real friend, and lovingly correct them if needed!
I HATE it when people say "oh, you're close-minded because you're a conservative." Now tell me, how close-minded is that statement?!!!
I HATE it that when a person's life is all screwed up they look all around instead of in a mirror.
I HATE it that it has become "cool" to replace decency with debauchery.
I HATE it that all people want to do is talk about how "we are all the same". WE ARE DIFFERENT. NOT ONE OF US IS, AVER HAS BEEN, OR EVER WILL BE THE SAME AS ANOTHER. Instead, what's wrong with embracing our differences and talking openly about them????!!!
I HATE HATE HATE it that women have different physical standards in the military, law-enforcement, and fire-fighting. If I am in a burning building, I want a person, who has to CARRY a 200 lb man up and down a ladder for a qualification test, to try to rescue me. I do NOT want a person, who only has to DRAG a 175 lb man down steps, to try to rescue me. I'd rather jump. If I'm in battle, I want a person who can carry my wounded tail to safety if needed. I do NOT want a person who can only do 30 push-ups and takes 21 minutes to run 2 miles, to be watching my back. And I want a person who can wrestle a criminal to the ground if needed patrolling my streets. NOTE: In each of these 3 examples I did not use "man" or "woman". If a woman can meet the same physical standards as a man for a physically demanding job, then GREAT! But if not, then find another line of work. EQUAL means EQUAL, not "special"!!!!
I HATE it that when I say that I'm a creationist, so many people want to raise an argument, and those same people are unwilling to hear, much less, consider, my counter-argument. HOW CLOSE-MINDED IS THAT?!!!
I HATE it that when I express belief in God and Jesus, suddenly I am viewed as foolish, stupid, or inferior. I believe God is REAL, and despite my best efforts to screw up my life, He has gotten me through soooo much!
I HATE it when people take a Definitive stance on an argument before researching and understanding BOTH SIDES of the argument. If it's worth the time to formulate an opinion, then it's worth the time to research BOTH SIDES. And please, don't pick up ONE book on a subject and formulate your opinion based solely on that. Another CLUE-BIRD: Authors, yes, even scientific ones, are subject to "human [personal] bias".
So please do, yes, please do respond to this post if you wish. But before you hammer your keyboard into oblivion, open your mind and consider my perspective and its merits, although perhaps contrary to your own.
